42:1 그 사람이 또 나를 데리고 성전 본당 바깥의 안뜰로 나가, 북쪽 길로 가서 성전 북편에 있는 두 건물에 이르렀다. 두 건물 가운데 하나는 성전 본당의 작은 골방들 앞뜰을 향하고 있었고, 다른 하나는 성전 본당의 북쪽 벽을 향하고 있었다.

42:2 그 사람이 이 건물들의 크기를 재니, 길이는 100규빗이었고, 너비는 50규빗이었다. 또 이 건물들의 출입구 문은 북쪽을 향하고 있었다.

42:3 이 건물들은 3층으로 이루어져 있었고, 방들이 두 줄로 쭉 늘어서 있었으며, 모든 방들 앞에는 복도용 발코니가 있었다. 두 줄로 늘어선 방들 가운데 한 줄은 20규빗 되는 성전 안뜰을 향하여 있었고, 다른 한 줄은 바깥뜰의 얇은 돌이 깔린 곳을 향하고 있었다.

42:4 또 그 두 줄의 방들 사이에는 통로가 있었는데, 그 너비가 10규빗이었고, 그 길이가 100규빗이었다. 그리고 그 문들은 다 북쪽으로 나 있었다.

42:5 3층으로 된 이 건물에서 맨 위층인 3층의 방들은 다른 1층과 2층의 방들에 비해 가장 좁았는데, 그것은 각 층마다 나 있는 복도용 발코니들 때문에, 위층으로 올라갈수록 그 너비가 점차 좁아졌기 때문이다.

42:6 비록 방들이 3층으로 되어 있었지만, 이 건물은 뜰에 있는 다른 건물들처럼 기둥으로 받쳐져 있지 않고, 기둥 없이 계단식 구조도 지어졌기 때문에, 맨 위층이 가장 아래층이나 가운데층보다 더욱 좁아졌던 것이다.

42:7 ○ 두 건물 가운데 한 건물의 바깥 담, 곧 바깥뜰 쪽으로는 이 방들과 나란히 길이 50규빗 되는 바깥 담이 있었다.

42:8 바깥뜰로 향한 이 방들의 전체 길이는 50규빗이었고, 성전 쪽을 향한 방들의 전체 길이는 100규빗이었다.

42:9 그리고 이 방들의 맨 아래층에는 동쪽으로 나 있는 출입구가 있었는데, 이 출입구는 곧 바깥뜰에서 들어가는 문이었다.

42:10 성전의 남편에도 북편과 똑같이 두 개의 건물이 있었는데, 하나는 성전 본당의 작은 골방들 앞뜰을 향하고 있었고, 다른 하나는 성전 본당의 남쪽 벽을 향하고 있었다.

42:11 이 건물들도 북편 건물들과 똑같이 각 건물마다 방들이 두 줄로 쭉 늘어서 있었고, 방들 사이에는 통로가 있었다. 모든 구조는 북편과 똑같았다. 곧 통로의 너비와 길이 및 각 방들의 크기, 그리고 출입구나 문들의 모양이나 구조가 북편 건물에 있는 것들과 똑같았다.

42:12 이 남편 건물의 방들에도 출입하는 문이 있었는데, 북편 건물의 방들과 똑같이 동쪽으로 나 있었다.

42:13 ○ 그때 나를 안내하던 그 사람이 내게 일러주었다. “성전 뜰 앞에 있는 이 남쪽 방들과 북쪽 방들은 ‘거룩한 방’이다. 이 방들은 주를 가까이 하는 제사장들이 지극히 거룩한 음식을 먹는 곳이고, 또한 지극히 거룩한 제물인 소제와 속죄제와 속건제의 제물을 두는 곳이다. 그래서 이 방들은 ‘거룩한 방’이다.

42:14 또 제사장들이 입는 옷은 거룩한 옷이므로, 제사장들이 성소에 들어가 주를 가까이하고 나올 때에는 곧바로 바깥뜰로 나가지 못하고, 주를 섬길 때 입었던 그 옷을 반드시 이 ‘거룩한 방’에 벗어두어야 한다. 그런 뒤, 다른 일반 옷으로 갈아입고서 백성들이 모여 있는 바깥뜰로 나가야 한다.”

42:15 ○ 나를 안내하던 그 사람이 성전 내부 구역의 모든 측량을 마친 뒤, 나를 데리고 성전의 동쪽 문을 통과하여 밖으로 나와서는, 성전 전체를 둘러싸고 있는 사면 담을 쟀다.

42:16 그 사람이 자기가 사용하는 그 장대로 성전 구역의 동편 담을 재니, 그 길이가 500규빗이었다.

42:17 또 그 장대로 북편 담을 재니 북편 담도 500규빗이었고,

42:18 또 그 장대로 남편 담을 재니 남편 담도 500규빗이었으며,

42:19 또 그 사람이 서쪽으로 가서, 자신의 장대로 서편 담을 재니 서편 담도 500규빗이었다.

42:20 이와 같이 그 사람이 성전 구역의 사면 담을 재니, 그 사면 담의 길이와 너비가 각각 500규빗이었다. 이 담은 안쪽의 거룩한 곳과 바깥쪽의 속된 곳을 구별하는 담이었다.

소말리아 - 최근 소말릴란드에서 체포된 기독교인들과 그 가족을 위해

1.  Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north; and he brought me to the chamber which [was] opposite the separate area and opposite the building toward the north.

2.  Along the length, [which was] a hundred cubits, [was] the north door; the width [was] fifty cubits.

3.  Opposite the twenty [cubits] which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, [was] gallery corresponding to gallery in three stories.

4.  And before the chambers [was] an inner walk ten cubits wide, a way of one [hundred] cubits; and their openings [were] on the north.

5.  Now the upper chambers [were] smaller because the galleries took more [space] away from them than from the lower and middle ones in the building.

6.  For they [were] in three stories and had no pillars like the pillars of the courts; therefore [the upper chambers] were set back from the ground upward, more than the lower and middle ones.

7.  As for the outer wall by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court facing the chambers, its length [was] fifty cubits.

8.  For the length of the chambers which [were] in the outer court [was] fifty cubits; and behold, [the length of those] facing the temple [was] a hundred cubits.

9.  And below these chambers [was] the entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer court.

10.  In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, facing the separate area and facing the building, [there were] chambers.

11.  And the way in front of them [was] like the appearance of the chambers which [were] on the north, according to their length so was their width; and all their exits [were] both according to their arrangements and openings.

12.  And corresponding to the openings of the chambers which were toward the south was an opening at the head of the way, the way in front of the wall toward the east, as one enters them.

13.  Then he said to me, "The north chambers [and] the south chambers, which are opposite the separate area, they are the holy chambers where the priests who are near to the LORD shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering; for the place is holy.

14.  "When the priests enter, then they shall not go out into the outer court from the sanctuary without laying there their garments in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they shall approach that which is for the people."

15.  Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faced toward the east, and measured it all around.

16.  He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, by the measuring reed.

17.  He measured on the north side five hundred reeds by the measuring reed.

18.  On the south side he measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

19.  He turned to the west side, [and] measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

20.  He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane.
