11장 의롭다 하심(칭의)에 대하여 효과적인 부르심(소명)     하나님은 효과적으로 부르시는 자들을 또한 값없이 의롭다 하시는데, 1)  그들에게 의를 주입하시는 것이 아니라, 그들의 죄를 용서하시고 그들의 인격을 의롭다고 간주하시고 인정하시는 것이다. 이것은 그들 안에 있는 어떠한 노력의 결과나 그들이 행한 일 때문이 아니라, 오직 그리스도 때문이다. 또한 믿음 자체, 즉 믿음의 행위나 다른 어떠한 복음적인 순종을 그들에게 의로 전가하시는 것이 아니라, 그리스도의 순종과 배상을 그들에게 전가하시는 것인데, 2)  그들은 믿음에 의해 그분과 그분의 의를 받아들이고 의지할 수 있다. 이 믿음은 그들 자신에게서 나오는 것이 아니고, 하나님의 선물이다. 3) Those whom God effectually calls, He also freely justifies;[1] not by infusing righteousness into them, but by pardoning their sins, and by accounting and accepting their persons as righteous; not for any thing wrought in them, or done by them, but for Christ's sake alone; nor by imputing faith itself, the act of believing, or any other evangelical obedience to them, as their righteousness; but by imputing the obedience and satisfaction of Christ unto them,[2] they receiving and resting on Him and His righteousness by faith; which faith they have not of themselves, it is the gift of God.[3] ...
