38:1 주의 말씀이 내게 내렸다.

38:2 ○ “너 사람아, 너는 네 얼굴을 마곡 땅에 있는 곡, 곧 로스와 메섹과 두발의 왕인 곡에게로 향하고, 그를 쳐서 예언하여라.

38:3 이르기를 ‘주 하나님께서 말씀하신다. 너 로스와 메섹과 두발의 왕인 곡아, 내가 너를 대적하여 칠 것이다.

38:4 내가 너를 돌려 세우고, 갈고리로 네 아가리를 꿰어 끌어내겠다. 너와 함께, 네 모든 군대 곧 말들과 기병들과 완전 무장한 군사들, 곧 견고한 갑옷을 입고 크고 작은 방패를 갖춘 채 칼을 잡고 있는 너의 큰 군대를 내가 모두 끌어내겠다.

38:5 또 네 군대와 함께 있는 무리들, 곧 방패와 투구로 무장한 채 너를 따르고 있는 페르시아 군대와 구스 군대와 붓의 군대도 다 끌어내겠다.

38:6 또 고멜 족속과 그의 모든 군대, 또 아주 머나먼 북방의 도갈마 족속과 그의 모든 군대, 그 밖에 너를 따르는 수많은 민족들의 군대를 다 함께 끌어내겠다.’ 하여라.”

38:7 ○ “그러므로 곡아, 너는 스스로 준비하라. 네게로 모여든 모든 무리들 곧 뭇 민족들의 군대들과 함께 만반의 준비를 갖추고, 너는 그들의 우두머리가 되어 그들을 지휘하라.

38:8 먼 후일 곧 마지막 때에, 너는 드디어 공격 명령을 받게 될 것이다. 그때에 너는 전쟁의 폐허에서 회복된 한 나라를 침략하게 될 것인데, 그 나라 백성들은 오랫동안 세상의 뭇 민족들 가운데 흩어져 살다가, 마침내 이방 나라들로부터 나와서 자기들의 본토로 모여들었다. 그런 후에 전쟁의 참화에서 벗어나 오랜 세월 동안 황폐하였던 자기들의 산지 이스라엘 땅에 다시 나라를 세우고, 그때쯤 모두가 편안하게 살고 있을 것이다.

38:9 네가 공격 명령을 받는 날, 너는 그 나라를 침략할 것이다. 너와 네 모든 군대, 그리고 너와 연합한 많은 나라의 군사들이 폭풍처럼 그 나라를 순식간에 덮치고, 먹구름처럼 그 땅을 온통 뒤덮을 것이다.”

38:10 ○ “나 주가 말한다. 그날에 너 곡은 네 마음속에 여러 가지 생각들이 떠올라, 마침내 악한 계획을 도모할 것이다.

38:11 그러면서 너는 속으로 말하기를 ‘내가 성벽 없이 살고 있는 저 평지 마을로 쳐들어가겠다. 보라, 저 마을에는 성벽도 없고 성문도 없고 문빗장도 없지 않은가! 모든 백성들이 무방비 상태로 아무 걱정 없이 태평스럽게 살고 있지 않은가!

38:12 그러므로 내가 그곳을 쳐서, 그 땅을 짓밟고 그들의 물건을 다 빼앗겠다.’ 할 것이다. 그러면서 네가 네 손을 뻗어 그 땅을 치려할 때, 곧 이전에는 황무지였으나 지금은 많은 사람들이 살고 있는 땅, 곧 지금은 뭇 나라들로부터 많은 사람들이 모여들어 세상의 중심인 그 땅에 정착해 살면서 가축과 재산을 늘려가고 있는 그 땅의 백성들을 치려할 때,

38:13 스바와 드단과 다시스의 상인들과 그들의 젊은 통치자들이 너를 비난하며 말하기를 ‘곡아, 네가 약탈하려고 왔느냐? 네가 강탈하려고 네 군대를 모았느냐? 네가 그들의 은과 금을 약탈하고, 그들의 가축과 재물을 강탈하여, 많은 전리품을 취하여 가려고 그리 공격하는 것이냐?’ 할 것이다.”

38:14 ○ “너 사람아, 너는 또 곡에게 이렇게 예언하여라. 선포하기를 ‘주 하나님께서 말씀하신다. 언젠가 내 백성 이스라엘이 아무 걱정 없이 평화롭게 살고 있을 그때에, 네가 어찌 그것을 알아차리지 못하겠느냐?

38:15 그때가 되면, 너는 네가 살고 있는 저 머나먼 북쪽 땅에서 일어나, 많은 군대를 이끌고 원정길에 나설 것인데, 네가 이끄는 너의 큰 군대는 모두가 말을 타는 막강한 기병들이고, 모두가 전쟁에 익숙한 강력한 군사들이다.

38:16 그날에 네가 너의 무시무시한 큰 군대를 이끌고 구름 떼처럼 몰려와 내 백성 이스라엘을 덮칠 것이다. 그렇다! 곡아, 마지막 때에 내가 너를 끌어내어 내 땅 이스라엘을 치게 할 것이다. 그것은 내가 너로 말미암아 나 자신의 거룩함을 모든 이방 민족들의 눈앞에서 밝히 드러내어, 그들 모두로 하여금 내가 누구인지를 분명히 알게 하기 위함이다.”

38:17 ○ “나 주가 말한다. 곡아, 내가 옛적부터 내 종 이스라엘의 예언자들을 시켜서 예언하였던 자가 바로 네가 아니냐? 그때에 내 종 이스라엘의 예언자들은 오랜 기간 동안 너를 두고 예언하였으니, 곧 주께서 너를 네 땅에서 끌어내어 주의 백성 이스라엘을 치게 하실 것이라고 예언하였다.

38:18 나 주가 말한다. 먼 후일 그날, 곡이 이스라엘 땅을 치러 올라오면, 내 얼굴에는 불타는 진노가 맹렬히 나타날 것이다.

38:19 내가 격렬한 질투와 불타는 진노로 맹세하건대, 그날에 크고 두려운 지진이 이스라엘 땅에 일어날 것이니,

38:20 바다의 물고기들과 공중의 새들과 들판의 짐승들과 땅에 기어 다니는 모든 것들과 땅 위에 있는 모든 사람들이 내 앞에서 무서워 벌벌 떨 것이다. 또 그때에 모든 산들이 무너지고, 모든 절벽들이 쓰러지며, 모든 성벽들이 땅에 무너져 내릴 것이다.

38:21 나 주가 말한다. 그때가 내가 내 모든 산에서 곡을 칠 칼을 부를 것이니, 칼을 든 곡의 모든 군사들이 그 칼로 자기들끼리 서로 칠 것이다.

38:22 그때에 내가 또 전염병과 피 비린내 나는 유혈 참극으로 곡을 심판할 것이다. 내가 또 위로부터 억수같이 쏟아지는 폭우와 큰 우박과 유황불로써 곡과 그의 모든 군대, 그리고 곡과 함께한 각국의 많은 군대를 심판할 것이다.

38:23 이와 같이 내가 온 땅의 뭇 민족들이 보는 앞에서 곡과 그의 무리들을 심판함으로써 내 위대함과 내 거룩함을 밝히 드러내어 내가 누군지를 똑똑히 알게 할 것이니, 그제야 그들은 내가 ‘주’인 줄 알게 될 것이다.”

스리랑카의 경제 위기가 사회 각계각층에 영향을 끼치고 있습니다. 일용직은 물론, 정규직 근로자들도 가족 생계 유지를 위해 힘겨운 시간을 보내고 있습니다. 교회도 예외는 아닙니다. 많은 성도들이 전력난으로 교회에 나오지 못하고 있고 많은 교회들은 다시 온라인 예배로 돌아가고 있습니다. 현지 파트너들 또한 전력난으로 인해 프로그램 진행과 사역에 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 이번 위기로 고통 받고 있는 시민들과 교회와 성도들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 하나님께서 교회를 사용하셔서 스리랑카에 희망의 불빛을 밝힐 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

인도 - 사원 창녀들과 그들의 아이들을 보살피는 마루티 목사를 위해

1.  And the word of the LORD came to me saying,

2.  "Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

3.  and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

4.  "And I will turn you about, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company [with] buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords;

5.  Persia, Ethiopia, and Put with them, all of them [with] shield and helmet;

6.  Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah [from] the remote parts of the north with all its troops-- many peoples with you.

7.  "Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.

8.  "After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, [whose inhabitants] have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them.

9.  "And you will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you."

10.  'Thus says the Lord GOD, "It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan,

11.  and you will say, 'I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls, and having no bars or gates,

12.  to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are [now] inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world. '

13.  "Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all its villages, will say to you, 'Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?'" '

14.  "Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, 'Thus says the Lord GOD," On that day when My people Israel are living securely, will you not know [it]?

15.  "And you will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and a mighty army;

16.  and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It will come about in the last days that I shall bring you against My land, in order that the nations may know Me when I shall be sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog. "

17.  'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for [many] years that I would bring you against them?

18.  "And it will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," declares the Lord GOD, "that My fury will mount up in My anger.

19.  "And in My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare [that] on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.

20.  "And the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground.

21.  "And I shall call for a sword against him on all My mountains," declares the Lord GOD. "Every man's sword will be against his brother.

22.  "And with pestilence and with blood I shall enter into judgment with him; and I shall rain on him, and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

23.  "And I shall magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD." '
