[우리말성경]제14장

1.  지혜로운 여자는 자기 집을 짓지만 어리석은 여자는 자기 손으로 집을 무너뜨린다.

2.  정직하게 사는 사람은 여호와를 경외하지만 잘못 사는 사람은 여호와를 무시한다.

3.  어리석은 사람의 말은 교만해 매를 자청하지만 지혜로운 사람의 말은 자신을 지켜 준다.

4.  소가 없으면 구유는 깨끗하지만 풍성한 수확은 소의 힘에서 나오는 법이다.

5.  믿을 만한 증인은 거짓말하지 않지만 가짜 증인은 거짓말을 쏟아 낸다.

6.  거만한 사람은 지혜를 구해도 찾지 못하지만 오직 통찰력 있는 사람은 쉽게 지식을 얻는다.

7.  어리석은 사람이 있으면 그에게서 멀리 떨어져라. 그 입술에서는 지식을 얻지 못한다.

8.  현명한 사람의 지혜는 생각하고 행동하게 하지만 어리석은 사람의 어리석음은 자기를 속이게 한다.

9.  어리석은 사람은 죄를 우습게 보나 의인들 가운데는 은총이 있다.

10.  마음의 고통은 자기만 알고 마음의 기쁨도 다른 사람과 나누지 못한다.

11.  악인의 집은 망할 것이요, 정직한 사람의 장막은 번성할 것이다.

12.  사람이 옳다고 여기는 길이어도 결국에는 죽음에 이를 뿐이다.

13.  웃어도 마음은 아플 수 있으며 기뻐도 끝은 슬플 때가 있다.

14.  마음이 타락한 사람은 악한 행위로 가득 찰 것이요, 선한 사람은 자신에게 만족하게 된다.

15.  어리석은 사람은 온갖 말을 믿으나 현명한 사람은 생각하고 그 길을 살핀다.

16.  지혜로운 사람은 두려워 악을 멀리하지만 어리석은 사람은 성급하고 조심할 줄 모른다.

17.  쉽게 화내는 사람은 어리석게 행동하고 악한 일을 꾸미는 사람은 미움을 받는다.

18.  우둔한 사람은 어리석음을 유산으로 받으나 현명한 사람은 지식의 면류관을 쓴다.

19.  악한 사람은 선한 사람 앞에서 엎드리고 불의한 사람은 의인의 문 앞에 엎드려 절한다.

20.  가난한 사람은 이웃들에게도 따돌림을 당하지만 부자는 친구가 많다.

21.  이웃을 멸시하는 사람은 죄짓는 자요, 가난한 사람에게 친절을 베푸는 사람은 복이 있다.

22.  악을 꾀하는 사람은 잘못된 길을 가지만 선을 계획하는 사람은 자비와 진리를 얻는다.

23.  열심히 일하면 유익이 있지만 말만 하면 가난해질 뿐이다.

24.  지혜로운 사람의 재물은 그에게 면류관이 되지만 어리석은 사람의 어리석음은 어리석음만 낳는다.

25.  진실한 증인은 영혼을 구해 내지만 가짜 증인은 거짓말만 늘어놓는다.

26.  여호와를 경외하는 사람에게는 강한 믿음이 있고 그의 자녀들에게는 피난처가 있다.

27.  여호와를 경외하는 것은 생명의 샘으로 사람을 죽음의 덫에서 건져 낸다.

28.  인구가 많은 것은 왕에게 영광이 되지만 백성들이 없는 것은 통치자의 멸망이다.

29.  조급하게 화를 내지 않는 사람은 큰 통찰력이 있지만 성질이 급한 사람은 어리석음을 드러낸다.

30.  평온한 마음은 육체에 생명이 되지만 질투심은 뼈를 썩게 한다.

31.  가난한 사람을 억압하는 사람은 그를 지으신 분을 비난하는 것이요, 궁핍한 사람에게 친절을 베푸는 사람은 하나님을 높여 드리는 것이다.

32.  악인은 자기 악함 때문에 쓰러지지만 의인은 죽음이 닥쳐도 소망이 있다.

33.  지혜는 통찰력 있는 사람의 마음에 머물지만 어리석은 사람들의 마음 안에 있는 것은 다 드러나게 된다.

34.  정의는 나라를 높이지만 죄는 민족을 욕되게 한다.

35.  지혜로운 신하는 왕의 총애를 얻지만 수치를 일으키는 신하에게는 진노가 내린다.

[NASB]제14장

1.  The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish tears it down with her own hands.

2.  He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, But he who is crooked in his ways despises Him.

3.  In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for [his] back, But the lips of the wise will preserve them.

4.  Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much increase [comes] by the strength of the ox.

5.  A faithful witness will not lie, But a false witness speaks lies.

6.  A scoffer seeks wisdom, and [finds] none, But knowledge is easy to him who has understanding.

7.  Leave the presence of a fool, Or you will not discern words of knowledge.

8.  The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, But the folly of fools is deceit.

9.  Fools mock at sin, But among the upright there is good will.

10.  The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy.

11.  The house of the wicked will be destroyed, But the tent of the upright will flourish.

12.  There is a way [which seems] right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

13.  Even in laughter the heart may be in pain, And the end of joy may be grief.

14.  The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways, But a good man will [be satisfied] with his.

15.  The naive believes everything, But the prudent man considers his steps.

16.  A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil, But a fool is arrogant and careless.

17.  A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, And a man of evil devices is hated.

18.  The naive inherit folly, But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

19.  The evil will bow down before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

20.  The poor is hated even by his neighbor, But those who love the rich are many.

21.  He who despises his neighbor sins, But happy is he who is gracious to the poor.

22.  Will they not go astray who devise evil? But kindness and truth [will be to] those who devise good.

23.  In all labor there is profit, But mere talk [leads] only to poverty.

24.  The crown of the wise is their riches, [But] the folly of fools is foolishness.

25.  A truthful witness saves lives, But he who speaks lies is treacherous.

26.  In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, And his children will have refuge.

27.  The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, That one may avoid the snares of death.

28.  In a multitude of people is a king's glory, But in the dearth of people is a prince's ruin.

29.  He who is slow to anger has great understanding, But he who is quick-tempered exalts folly.

30.  A tranquil heart is life to the body, But passion is rottenness to the bones.

31.  He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

32.  The wicked is thrust down by his wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies.

33.  Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding, But in the bosom of fools it is made known.

34.  Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to [any] people.

35.  The king's favor is toward a servant who acts wisely, But his anger is toward him who acts shamefully.

1.  חכמות נשים בנתה ביתה ואולת בידיה תהרסנו׃

2.  הולך בישרו ירא יהוה ונלוז דרכיו בוזהו׃

3.  בפי אויל חטר גאוה ושפתי חכמים תשמורם׃

4.  באין אלפים אבוס בר ורב תבואות בכח שור׃

5.  עד אמונים לא יכזב ויפיח כזבים עד שקר׃

6.  בקש לץ חכמה ואין ודעת לנבון נקל׃

7.  לך מנגד לאיש כסיל ובל ידעת שפתי דעת׃

8.  חכמת ערום הבין דרכו ואולת כסילים מרמה׃

9.  אולים יליץ אשם ובין ישרים רצון׃

10.  לב יודע מרת נפשו ובשמחתו לא יתערב זר׃

11.  בית רשעים ישמד ואהל ישרים יפריח׃

12.  יש דרך ישר לפני איש ואחריתה דרכי מות׃

13.  גם בשחוק יכאב לב ואחריתה שמחה תוגה׃

14.  מדרכיו ישבע סוג לב ומעליו איש טוב׃

15.  פתי יאמין לכל דבר וערום יבין לאשרו׃

16.  חכם ירא וסר מרע וכסיל מתעבר ובוטח׃

17.  קצר אפים יעשה אולת ואיש מזמות ישנא׃

18.  נחלו פתאים אולת וערומים יכתרו דעת׃

19.  שחו רעים לפני טובים ורשעים על שערי צדיק׃

20.  גם לרעהו ישנא רש ואהבי עשיר רבים׃

21.  בז לרעהו חוטא ומחונן עניים אשריו׃

22.  הלוא יתעו חרשי רע וחסד ואמת חרשי טוב׃

23.  בכל עצב יהיה מותר ודבר שפתים אך למחסור׃

24.  עטרת חכמים עשרם אולת כסילים אולת׃

25.  מציל נפשות עד אמת ויפח כזבים מרמה׃

26.  ביראת יהוה מבטח עז ולבניו יהיה מחסה׃

27.  יראת יהוה מקור חיים לסור ממקשי מות׃

28.  ברב עם הדרת מלך ובאפס לאם מחתת רזון׃

29.  ארך אפים רב תבונה וקצר רוח מרים אולת׃

30.  חיי בשרים לב מרפא ורקב עצמות קנאה׃

31.  עשק דל חרף עשהו ומכבדו חנן אביון׃

32.  ברעתו ידחה רשע וחסה במותו צדיק׃

33.  בלב נבון תנוח חכמה ובקרב כסילים תודע׃

34.  צדקה תרומם גוי וחסד לאמים חטאת׃

35.  רצון מלך לעבד משכיל ועברתו תהיה מביש׃
