배신한 예루살렘에 대한 비유

1.  여호와의 말씀이 내게 임해 말씀하셨다.

2.  “사람아, 예루살렘으로 하여금 그의 혐오스러운 일을 알게 하여라.

3.  그리고 말하여라. ‘예루살렘에게 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네 근본과 태생은 가나안 땅에서 비롯됐다. 네 아버지는 아모리 사람이고 네 어머니는 헷 사람이었다.

4.  네 출생에 대해 말하자면 네가 태어난 날 아무도 네 탯줄을 자르지도 않았고 물로 깨끗하게 씻기지도 않았다. 소금으로 문지르거나 포대기에 싸 주지도 않았다.

5.  이런 것 가운데 어느 한 가지를 네게 해 줄 정도로 네게 인정을 베풀거나 너를 불쌍히 여기는 사람이 아무도 없었다. 도리어 너는 네가 태어나던 날 미움을 받아 들판에 버려졌다.

6.  그때 내가 네 곁을 지나가다가 네가 핏덩이인 채로 발길질하는 것을 보았다. 핏덩이인 네게 나는 ‘살아나라’ 하고 말했다. 핏덩이인 네게 나는 ‘살아나라’ 하고 말했다.

7.  내가 너를 키워 들판의 식물처럼 번성하게 했더니 네가 자라고 번성해 매우 아름다워졌다. 네 젖가슴은 모양을 갖춰 갔고 네 머리칼은 자라났다. 하지만 너는 벌거벗은 알몸이었다.

8.  그리고 내가 네 곁을 지나가다가 너를 보니 네 나이가 사랑할 나이가 됐다. 그래서 내가 내 겉옷을 네 위에 펼쳐서 네 알몸을 가려 주었다. 내가 네게 맹세를 해 너와 언약을 맺었고 너는 내 것이 됐다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

9.  내가 너를 물로 씻겨 네게서 피를 완전히 씻어 내고 네게 기름을 부었다.

10.  내가 네게 수놓은 옷을 입히고 네게 가죽 신발을 신겼다. 내가 네게 모시옷을 입히고 그 위에 비단 옷을 입혀 주었다.

11.  내가 너를 장신구로 치장해서 네 손에는 팔찌를, 네 목에는 목걸이를 걸어 주었다.

12.  그리고 네 코에는 코걸이를, 네 귀에는 귀걸이를, 네 머리에는 아름다운 관을 씌워 주었다.

13.  그래서 네가 금과 은으로 치장하고 모시와 비단과 수놓은 옷을 입었으며 고운 밀가루와 꿀과 기름을 먹었다. 너는 뛰어나게 아름다워 왕비처럼 아름다웠다.

14.  그리고 아름다움으로 인해서 민족들 사이에 네 명성이 퍼져 나갔다. 내가 베풀어 준 장식품으로 인해 아름다움이 완벽해졌기 때문이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

15.  그러나 네가 네 아름다움을 믿고 네 명성에 의지해 음란한 짓을 했다. 너는 지나가는 모든 사람들과 음란한 짓을 해 네 아름다움이 그의 것이 되게 했다.

16.  너는 네 겉옷 몇 벌을 가져다가 너 자신을 위해 산당을 각양각색으로 치장하고 그곳에서 음란한 짓을 했다. 이런 일은 일어나지 말았어야 했고 절대로 있어서는 안 될 일이었다.

17.  너는 또 내가 준 금과 은으로 만든 장신구를 가져다가 네 자신을 위해 남자의 형상들을 만들어 그들과 음란한 짓을 벌였다.

18.  그리고 수놓은 네 옷들을 가져다가 그들에게 입히고 내 기름과 향을 그들 앞에 올렸다.

19.  또 내가 네게 주어서 먹게 한 고운 밀가루와 기름과 꿀과 같은 음식을 너는 그들 앞에 분향으로 드렸다. 네가 정말로 그렇게 했다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

20.  또 너는 네가 내게 낳아 준 네 아들들과 딸들을 데려다가 희생제물로 잡아서 우상들의 음식이 되게 했다. 네 음란한 행위들이 대수롭지 않은 일이냐?

21.  네가 내 자식들을 도살했다. 네가 그들을 불 속으로 지나가게 해서 그들을 우상들에게 바쳤다.

22.  너는 모든 혐오스러운 일들과 음란한 행위를 하는 가운데 네가 벌거벗은 알몸으로 핏덩이인 채 발짓하던 네 어린 시절을 기억하지 못했다.

23.  네가 모든 악을 행한 후에 화가 있을 것이다! 네게 화가 있을 것이다! 주 여호와의 말이다.

24.  네 자신을 위해 작은 언덕을 세우고 모든 광장에 사당을 만들었다.

25.  네가 길 어귀마다 사당들을 세웠고 네 아름다움을 더럽혔다. 너는 지나가는 모든 사람들에게 네 다리를 벌리고 그들과 음란한 짓을 벌였다.

26.  너는 또 네 이웃인 욕정이 가득한 이집트 자손들과 음란한 짓을 행했고 수없이 음란한 행위를 벌여 나를 화나게 했다.

27.  그러므로 내가 네게 손을 뻗어 네 영토를 축소시켰고 너를 혐오하는 사람들, 곧 네 음란한 행동으로 모욕을 당한 블레셋 사람들의 딸들에게 내가 너를 넘겨주었다.

28.  그런데도 너는 만족하지 못해서 앗시리아 자손들과도 음란한 짓을 했다. 네가 그들과 음란한 행위를 했지만 네가 여전히 만족하지 못했다.

29.  그리고 너는 또 상인들의 땅 갈대아에서 더욱 음란한 짓을 했지만 너는 이것으로도 만족하지 못했다.

30.  네 마음이 얼마나 타락했는지! 네가 이런 모든 짓을 행하니 이는 숙달된 창녀의 행위다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

31.  네가 길 어귀마다 네 작은 언덕을 세우고 모든 광장에 사당을 만들었다. 그런데 창녀와 달리 너는 돈을 받지 않으니 창녀와 같지도 않다.

32.  남편 대신 모르는 사람들을 맞아들이는 간음하는 아내여!

33.  사람들은 모든 창녀에게 돈을 지불하지만 너는 모든 네 애인들에게 네 돈을 준다. 그들이 사방에서 네게로 와서 너와 음란한 행위를 하도록 네가 그들에게 뇌물을 준다.

34.  그러니 네 음란한 행위는 다른 여자들과 다른 점이 있다. 아무도 너를 뒤따르며 음란한 행동을 하려 하지 않고 또 네게 돈을 주는 것이 아니라 네가 돈을 준다는 점이다.

35.  그러므로 창녀여, 여호와의 말씀을 들어라!

36.  나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네가 네 재산을 쏟아 붓고 네 애인들과 네 모든 혐오스러운 우상들과 음란한 행동을 하면서 네 알몸을 드러냈기 때문에, 네 자식들의 피를 그들에게 주었기 때문에

37.  네가 사랑했던 남자건 미워했던 남자건 상관없이 네 모든 남자들을 내가 모을 것이다. 내가 그들을 사방에서 네게 모아다가 그들에게 네 알몸을 드러내 보게 할 것이다.

38.  간음한 여자와 피를 흘리게 한 여자를 심판하듯 내가 너를 심판할 것이다. 내가 진노와 질투의 피를 흘리게 할 것이다.

39.  내가 너를 그들의 손에 넘겨줄 것이니 그들이 네 작은 언덕들을 무너뜨리고 네 사당들을 부술 것이다. 그들은 네 옷을 벗기고 네 아름다운 장신구들을 가져가고 너를 벌거벗기고 알몸인 채로 버려둘 것이다.

40.  그들은 무리를 데리고 와서 네게 돌을 던지고 칼로 너를 찌를 것이다.

41.  그들은 네 집들을 불태우고 많은 여자들이 보는 앞에서 네게 심판을 내릴 것이다. 내가 너로 하여금 음란한 행동을 그만두게 할 것이니 네가 네 애인에게 더 이상 돈을 주지 않을 것이다.

42.  그러고 나면 너에 대한 내 진노가 수그러들 것이고 내 질투가 네게서 떠날 것이다. 내가 잠잠하게 되고 더 이상 화를 내지 않을 것이다.

43.  네가 네 어린 시절을 기억하지 못하고 이 모든 것들로 나를 분노하게 했기 때문에 네가 한 행동대로 내가 네 머리 위에 갚아 줄 것이다. 그러면 네가 모든 혐오스러운 우상 섬기는 일들에 음행까지 더하지는 않을 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

44.  속담을 인용하는 사람마다 너를 비꼬아 그 어머니의 그 딸이라고 말할 것이다.

45.  너는 남편과 자식을 미워한 네 어머니의 딸이고 너는 남편들과 자식들을 싫어한 네 자매들의 동생이다. 너희 어머니는 헷 사람이고 너희 아버지는 아모리 사람이다.

46.  네 언니는 딸들과 함께 북쪽에 살고 있는 사마리아고 네 여동생은 딸들과 함께 남쪽에 살고 있는 소돔이다.

47.  너는 그들의 행동을 따르거나 그들의 혐오스러운 일을 하는 것뿐 아니라 오히려 그것이 대수롭지 않은 듯 모든 행동에 있어서 그들보다 더 타락했다.

48.  내가 단언하건대 네 여동생 소돔과 그 딸들도 너와 네 딸들이 한 것처럼은 하지 않았다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

49.  이것이 네 여동생 소돔의 죄다. 그와 그 딸들에게는 교만함과 풍부한 식량과 안정된 번영이 있었다. 그들은 가난한 사람들과 궁핍한 사람들을 돕지 않았다.

50.  그들은 교만해 내 앞에서 혐오스러운 짓들을 했다. 그리하여 내가 그것을 보고 그들을 없애 버렸다.

51.  사마리아는 네 죄의 반밖에 죄를 짓지 않았다. 네가 그녀보다 혐오스러운 일들을 더 많이 했고 네가 행한 네 모든 혐오스러운 일들로 네가 네 자매들을 오히려 의로워 보이게 했다.

52.  자매들을 위해서 네가 용서를 간청했으니 네 수치도 감당해 내어라. 네가 그들보다 더 가증하고 그들이 너보다 더 의롭기 때문이다. 네가 네 자매들을 의롭게 했으니 부끄러운 줄 알고 네 수치를 감당하여라.

53.  이것은 내가 그들, 곧 소돔과 그 딸들의 포로 됨과 사마리아와 그 딸들의 포로 됨을 회복시키고 나서 네 포로 됨을 회복시켜

54.  너로 하여금 네 수치를 감당하고 네가 그들이 오히려 의롭게 보이도록 행한 모든 일로 인해서 부끄러워하게 하기 위해서다.

55.  네 자매들인 소돔과 그 딸들이 그들의 이전 상태로 되돌아갈 것이고 사마리아와 그 딸들이 그들의 이전 상태로 되돌아갈 것이고 너와 네 딸들도 너희의 이전 상태로 되돌아갈 것이다.

56.  너는 교만하던 때 네 자매인 소돔을 무시하고 네 입으로 말하지 않았다.

57.  그것은 네 사악함이 드러나기 이전에 있었던 일이다. 그런데 이제는 아람의 딸들과 그 주변 사람들이 모두 너를 모욕하고 블레셋 사람들의 딸들이 곳곳에서 너를 멸시한다.

58.  너는 네 음란함과 혐오스러움의 대가를 받아야 할 것이다. 나 여호와의 말이다.

59.  나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네가 언약을 깨뜨림으로써 내 맹세를 무시했으니 네가 행한 대로 내가 네게 할 것이다.

60.  그러나 네 어린 시절 너와 맺은 언약을 내가 기억하고 너와 영원한 언약을 세울 것이다.

61.  그러면 네가 네 언니와 동생을 맞이할 때 네가 네 행동을 기억하고 부끄러워하게 될 것이다. 내가 네게 그들을 딸로 줄 것이지만 그것이 너와 맺은 내 언약 때문은 아니다.

62.  내가 너와 언약을 세울 것이다. 그러면 내가 여호와임을 네가 알게 될 것이다.

63.  내가 네게 한 모든 일에 대해 너를 속죄할 때 네가 기억하고 부끄러워하며 네 수치스러움으로 인해 다시는 입을 열지 못하게 하기위해서다. 주 여호와의 말이다.’”

[NASB]제16장

1.  Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,

2.  "Son of man, make known to Jerusalem her abominations,

3.  and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem, "Your origin and your birth are from the land of the Canaanite, your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.

4.  "As for your birth, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water for cleansing; you were not rubbed with salt or even wrapped in cloths.

5.  "No eye looked with pity on you to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you. Rather you were thrown out into the open field, for you were abhorred on the day you were born.

6.  "When I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you [while you were] in your blood, 'Live!' I said to you while you were in your blood, 'Live!'

7.  "I made you numerous like plants of the field. Then you grew up, became tall, and reached the age for fine ornaments; [your] breasts were formed and your hair had grown. Yet you were naked and bare.

8.  "Then I passed by you and saw you, and behold, you were at the time for love; so I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. I also swore to you and entered into a covenant with you so that you became Mine," declares the Lord GOD.

9.  "Then I bathed you with water, washed off your blood from you, and anointed you with oil.

10.  "I also clothed you with embroidered cloth, and put sandals of porpoise skin on your feet; and I wrapped you with fine linen and covered you with silk.

11.  "And I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your hands, and a necklace around your neck.

12.  "I also put a ring in your nostril, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.

13.  "Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your dress was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour, honey, and oil; so you were exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.

14.  "Then your fame went forth among the nations on account of your beauty, for it was perfect because of My splendor which I bestowed on you," declares the Lord GOD.

15.  "But you trusted in your beauty and played the harlot because of your fame, and you poured out your harlotries on every passer-by who might be [willing.]

16.  "And you took some of your clothes, made for yourself high places of various colors, and played the harlot on them, which should never come about nor happen.

17.  "You also took your beautiful jewels [made] of My gold and of My silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself male images that you might play the harlot with them.

18.  "Then you took your embroidered cloth and covered them, and offered My oil and My incense before them.

19.  "Also My bread which I gave you, fine flour, oil, and honey with which I fed you, you would offer before them for a soothing aroma; so it happened," declares the Lord GOD.

20.  "Moreover, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me, and you sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your harlotries so small a matter?

21.  "You slaughtered My children, and offered them up to idols by causing them to pass through [the fire.]

22.  "And besides all your abominations and harlotries you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare and squirming in your blood.

23.  "Then it came about after all your wickedness ('Woe, woe to you!' declares the Lord GOD),

24.  that you built yourself a shrine and made yourself a high place in every square.

25.  "You built yourself a high place at the top of every street, and made your beauty abominable; and you spread your legs to every passer-by to multiply your harlotry.

26.  "You also played the harlot with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and multiplied your harlotry to make Me angry.

27.  "Behold now, I have stretched out My hand against you and diminished your rations. And I delivered you up to the desire of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd conduct.

28.  "Moreover, you played the harlot with the Assyrians because you were not satisfied; you even played the harlot with them and still were not satisfied.

29.  "You also multiplied your harlotry with the land of merchants, Chaldea, yet even with this you were not satisfied." '"

30.  "How languishing is your heart," declares the Lord GOD, "while you do all these things, the actions of a bold-faced harlot.

31.  "When you built your shrine at the beginning of every street and made your high place in every square, in disdaining money, you were not like a harlot.

32.  "You adulteress wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!

33.  "Men give gifts to all harlots, but you give your gifts to all your lovers to bribe them to come to you from every direction for your harlotries.

34.  "Thus you are different from those women in your harlotries, in that no one plays the harlot as you do, because you give money and no money is given you; thus you are different."

35.  Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD.

36.  Thus says the Lord GOD, "Because your lewdness was poured out and your nakedness uncovered through your harlotries with your lovers and with all your detestable idols, and because of the blood of your sons which you gave to idols,

37.  therefore, behold, I shall gather all your lovers with whom you took pleasure, even all those whom you loved [and] all those whom you hated. So I shall gather them against you from every direction and expose your nakedness to them that they may see all your nakedness.

38.  "Thus I shall judge you, like women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I shall bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

39.  "I shall also give you into the hands of your lovers, and they will tear down your shrines, demolish your high places, strip you of your clothing, take away your jewels, and will leave you naked and bare.

40.  "They will incite a crowd against you, and they will stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords.

41.  "And they will burn your houses with fire and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women. Then I shall stop you from playing the harlot, and you will also no longer pay your lovers.

42.  "So I shall calm My fury against you, and My jealousy will depart from you, and I shall be pacified and angry no more.

43.  "Because you have not remembered the days of your youth but have enraged Me by all these things, behold, I in turn will bring your conduct down on your own head," declares the Lord GOD, "so that you will not commit this lewdness on top of all your [other] abominations.

44.  "Behold, everyone who quotes proverbs will quote [this] proverb concerning you, saying, 'Like mother, like daughter.'

45.  "You are the daughter of your mother, who loathed her husband and children. You are also the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and children. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.

46.  "Now your older sister is Samaria, who lives north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lives south of you, is Sodom with her daughters.

47.  "Yet you have not merely walked in their ways or done according to their abominations; but, as if that were too little, you acted more corruptly in all your conduct than they.

48.  "As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "Sodom, your sister, and her daughters, have not done as you and your daughters have done.

49.  "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, abundant food, and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy.

50.  "Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw [it.]

51.  "Furthermore, Samaria did not commit half of your sins, for you have multiplied your abominations more than they. Thus you have made your sisters appear righteous by all your abominations which you have committed.

52.  "Also bear your disgrace in that you have made judgment favorable for your sisters. Because of your sins in which you acted more abominably than they, they are more in the right than you. Yes, be also ashamed and bear your disgrace, in that you made your sisters appear righteous.

53.  "Nevertheless, I will restore their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and along with them your own captivity,

54.  in order that you may bear your humiliation, and feel ashamed for all that you have done when you become a consolation to them.

55.  "And your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to their former state, and you with your daughters will [also] return to your former state.

56.  "As [the name of] your sister Sodom was not heard from your lips in your day of pride,

57.  before your wickedness was uncovered, so now you have become the reproach of the daughters of Edom, and of all who are around her, of the daughters of the Philistines-- those surrounding [you] who despise you.

58.  "You have borne [the penalty of] your lewdness and abominations," the LORD declares.

59.  For thus says the Lord GOD, "I will also do with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.

60.  "Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.

61.  "Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters, [both] your older and your younger; and I will give them to you as daughters, but not because of your covenant.

62.  "Thus I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall know that I am the LORD,

63.  in order that you may remember and be ashamed, and never open your mouth anymore because of your humiliation, when I have forgiven you for all that you have done, "the Lord GOD declares.

1.  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

2.  בן אדם הודע את ירושלם את תועבתיה׃

3.  ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה לירושלם מכרתיך ומלדתיך מארץ הכנעני אביך האמרי ואמך חתית׃

4.  ומולדותיך ביום הולדת אתך לא כרת שרך ובמים לא רחצת למשעי והמלח לא המלחת והחתל לא חתלת׃

5.  לא חסה עליך עין לעשות לך אחת מאלה לחמלה עליך ותשלכי אל פני השדה בגעל נפשך ביום הלדת אתך׃

6.  ואעבר עליך ואראך מתבוססת בדמיך ואמר לך בדמיך חיי ואמר לך בדמיך חיי׃

7.  רבבה כצמח השדה נתתיך ותרבי ותגדלי ותבאי בעדי עדיים שדים נכנו ושערך צמח ואת ערם ועריה׃

8.  ואעבר עליך ואראך והנה עתך עת דדים ואפרש כנפי עליך ואכסה ערותך ואשבע לך ואבוא בברית אתך נאם אדני יהוה ותהיי לי׃

9.  וארחצך במים ואשטף דמיך מעליך ואסכך בשמן׃

10.  ואלבישך רקמה ואנעלך תחש ואחבשך בשש ואכסך משי׃

11.  ואעדך עדי ואתנה צמידים על ידיך ורביד על גרונך׃

12.  ואתן נזם על אפך ועגילים על אזניך ועטרת תפארת בראשך׃

13.  ותעדי זהב וכסף ומלבושך ששי ומשי ורקמה סלת ודבש ושמן אכלתי ותיפי במאד מאד ותצלחי למלוכה׃

14.  ויצא לך שם בגוים ביפיך כי כליל הוא בהדרי אשר שמתי עליך נאם אדני יהוה׃

15.  ותבטחי ביפיך ותזני על שמך ותשפכי את תזנותיך על כל עובר לו יהי׃

16.  ותקחי מבגדיך ותעשי לך במות טלאות ותזני עליהם לא באות ולא יהיה׃

17.  ותקחי כלי תפארתך מזהבי ומכספי אשר נתתי לך ותעשי לך צלמי זכר ותזני בם׃

18.  ותקחי את בגדי רקמתך ותכסים ושמני וקטרתי נתתי לפניהם׃

19.  ולחמי אשר נתתי לך סלת ושמן ודבש האכלתיך ונתתיהו לפניהם לריח ניחח ויהי נאם אדני יהוה׃

20.  ותקחי את בניך ואת בנותיך אשר ילדת לי ותזבחים להם לאכול המעט מתזנתך׃

21.  ותשחטי את בני ותתנים בהעביר אותם להם׃

22.  ואת כל תועבתיך ותזנתיך לא זכרתי את ימי נעוריך בהיותך ערם ועריה מתבוססת בדמך היית׃

23.  ויהי אחרי כל רעתך אוי אוי לך נאם אדני יהוה׃

24.  ותבני לך גב ותעשי לך רמה בכל רחוב׃

25.  אל כל ראש דרך בנית רמתך ותתעבי את יפיך ותפשקי את רגליך לכל עובר ותרבי את תזנתך׃

26.  ותזני אל בני מצרים שכניך גדלי בשר ותרבי את תזנתך להכעיסני׃

27.  והנה נטיתי ידי עליך ואגרע חקך ואתנך בנפש שנאותיך בנות פלשתים הנכלמות מדרכך זמה׃

28.  ותזני אל בני אשור מבלתי שבעתך ותזנים וגם לא שבעת׃

29.  ותרבי את תזנותך אל ארץ כנען כשדימה וגם בזאת לא שבעת׃

30.  מה אמלה לבתך נאם אדני יהוה בעשותך את כל אלה מעשה אשה זונה שלטת׃

31.  בבנותיך גבך בראש כל דרך ורמתך עשיתי בכל רחוב ולא הייתי כזונה לקלס אתנן׃

32.  האשה המנאפת תחת אישה תקח את זרים׃

33.  לכל זנות יתנו נדה ואת נתת את נדניך לכל מאהביך ותשחדי אותם לבוא אליך מסביב בתזנותיך׃

34.  ויהי בך הפך מן הנשים בתזנותיך ואחריך לא זונה ובתתך אתנן ואתנן לא נתן לך ותהי להפך׃

35.  לכן זונה שמעי דבר יהוה׃

36.  כה אמר אדני יהוה יען השפך נחשתך ותגלה ערותך בתזנותיך על מאהביך ועל כל גלולי תועבותיך וכדמי בניך אשר נתת להם׃

37.  לכן הנני מקבץ את כל מאהביך אשר ערבת עליהם ואת כל אשר אהבת על כל אשר שנאת וקבצתי אתם עליך מסביב וגליתי ערותך אלהם וראו את כל ערותך׃

38.  ושפטתיך משפטי נאפות ושפכת דם ונתתיך דם חמה וקנאה׃

39.  ונתתי אותך בידם והרסו גבך ונתצו רמתיך והפשיטו אותך בגדיך ולקחו כלי תפארתך והניחוך עירם ועריה׃

40.  והעלו עליך קהל ורגמו אותך באבן ובתקוך בחרבותם׃

41.  ושרפו בתיך באש ועשו בך שפטים לעיני נשים רבות והשבתיך מזונה וגם אתנן לא תתני עוד׃

42.  והנחתי חמתי בך וסרה קנאתי ממך ושקטתי ולא אכעס עוד׃

43.  יען אשר לא זכרתי את ימי נעוריך ותרגזי לי בכל אלה וגם אני הא דרכך בראש נתתי נאם אדני יהוה ולא עשיתי את הזמה על כל תועבתיך׃

44.  הנה כל המשל עליך ימשל לאמר כאמה בתה׃

45.  בת אמך את געלת אישה ובניה ואחות אחותך את אשר געלו אנשיהן ובניהן אמכן חתית ואביכן אמרי׃

46.  ואחותך הגדולה שמרון היא ובנותיה היושבת על שמאולך ואחותך הקטנה ממך היושבת מימינך סדם ובנותיה׃

53.  ושבתי את שבותהן את שבית סדם ובנותיה ואת שבית שמרון ובנותיה ושבית שביתיך בתוכהנה׃

54.  למען תשאי כלמתך ונכלמת מכל אשר עשית בנחמך אתן׃

55.  ואחותיך סדם ובנותיה תשבן לקדמתן ושמרון ובנותיה תשבן לקדמתן ואת ובנותיך תשבינה לקדמתכן׃

56.  ולוא היתה סדם אחותך לשמועה בפיך ביום גאוניך׃

61.  וזכרת את דרכיך ונכלמת בקחתך את אחותיך הגדלות ממך אל הקטנות ממך ונתתי אתהן לך לבנות ולא מבריתך׃

62.  והקימותי אני את בריתי אתך וידעת כי אני יהוה׃

63.  למען תזכרי ובשת ולא יהיה לך עוד פתחון פה מפני כלמתך בכפרי לך לכל אשר עשית נאם אדני יהוה׃
