에스겔이 머리와 수염을 깎음
1. “사람아, 너는 날카로운 칼을 가져다가 그 칼을 이발사의 면도칼로 삼아 네 머리와 수염을 깎아라. 그리고 저울로 양을 재고 그 털을 나눠라.
2. 포위 기간이 끝나면 너는 그 털 가운데 3분의 1을 성읍 안에서 불에 태워라. 또 3분의 1을 가져다가 성읍 주위를 돌아가며 칼로 쳐라. 다른 3분의 1은 바람에 흩날려 보내라. 내가 그들의 뒤를 따라서 칼을 뽑을 것이다.
3. 너는 거기에서 몇 개를 가져다가 그것들을 네 옷자락에 싸라.
4. 또 그 가운데 얼마를 가져다가 그것들을 불 속에 던져서 태워라. 그 속에서 불이 나와 온 이스라엘 족속에게 번질 것이다.”
5. 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “이것이 예루살렘이니 내가 민족들 가운데 그 성읍을 두고 그 주변에 나라들을 두었다.
6. 예루살렘은 죄악을 행해 그 주변 민족들과 나라들보다 더욱 내 규례와 법령을 거역했다. 그들은 내 규례를 거부했고 내 법령을 따르지 않았다.”
7. 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “너희가 제멋대로 행하는 것이 네 주변 민족들보다 더해 내 법령을 따르지 않고 내 규례를 지키지 않으며 또 네 주변 민족들의 규례조차도 따라 행하지 않았다.”
8. 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “내가 네게 대적해서 민족들이 보는 앞에서 네 가운데서 심판을 내릴 것이다.
9. 네 모든 혐오스러운 것들 때문에 내가 한 적이 없고 또 다시는 하지 않을 일을 내가 네게 행할 것이다.
10. 그러므로 네 가운데서 아버지들은 자기 아들들을 잡아먹고 아들들은 자기 아버지들을 잡아먹게 될 것이다. 내가 네게 심판을 내릴 것이고 네 모든 남은 사람들을 바람에 흩어 버릴 것이다.
11. 그러므로 내가 내 삶을 두고 맹세한다. 주 여호와의 말이다. 네가 네 모든 가증스러운 것들과 네 모든 혐오스러운 일들로 내 성소를 더럽혔으므로 내가 너를 쇠약하게 할 것이며 내 눈이 너를 불쌍히 여기지도 않고 또 내가 너를 긍휼히 여기지도 않을 것이다.
12. 네 백성 가운데 3분의 1이 전염병으로 죽거나 네 안에서 기근으로 멸망할 것이며 3분의 1은 네 주위의 칼에 맞아 쓰러질 것이고 3분의 1은 내가 바람에 흩어 버리고 그들 뒤를 따라가서 칼을 뽑을 것이다.
13. 따라서 내 노여움이 다하면 내가 그들에 대한 내 분노를 가라앉힐 것이며 내가 측은하게 여길 것이다. 내가 내 분노를 그들에게 다하고 나면 나 여호와가 열정적으로 말했다는 것을 그들이 알게 될 것이다.
14. 네 주변 민족들 가운데서, 지나가는 모든 사람들 보기에 내가 너를 폐허로 만들고 모욕의 대상이 되게 할 것이다.
15. 내가 노여움과 분노와 무서운 질책으로 네게 심판을 내릴 때 그것이 네 주변 민족들에게 모욕의 대상과 조롱거리가 되고 훈계와 경악의 대상이 될 것이다. 나 여호와가 말한다.
16. 너희를 멸망시키려고 내가 끔찍한 기근의 화살과 재난의 화살, 곧 멸망의 화살을 쏠 것이다. 그때 내가 너희에게 기근을 더하고 너희의 식량 공급을 단절할 것이다.
17. 내가 기근과 들짐승들을 너희에게 보낼 것이니 그것들이 너희 자식을 빼앗아 갈 것이다. 전염병과 피 흘림이 너를 쓸고 지나갈 것이고 내가 너희에게 칼을 보낼 것이다. 나 여호와가 말했다.”
[NASB]제5장
1. "As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword; take and use it [as] a barber's razor on your head and beard. Then take scales for weighing and divide the hair.
2. "One third you shall burn in the fire at the center of the city, when the days of the siege are completed. Then you shall take one third and strike [it] with the sword all around the city, and one third you shall scatter to the wind; and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
3. "Take also a few in number from them and bind them in the edges of your [robes.]
4. "And take again some of them and throw them into the fire, and burn them in the fire; from it a fire will spread to all the house of Israel.
5. "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'This is Jerusalem; I have set her at the center of the nations, with lands around her.
6. 'But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations and against My statutes more than the lands which surround her; for they have rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.'
7. "Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have more turmoil than the nations which surround you, and have not walked in My statutes, nor observed My ordinances, nor observed the ordinances of the nations which surround you,'
8. therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.
9. 'And because of all your abominations, I will do among you what I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again.
10. 'Therefore, fathers will eat [their] sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you, and scatter all your remnant to every wind.
11. 'So as I live,' declares the Lord GOD, 'surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw, and My eye shall have no pity and I will not spare.
12. 'One third of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you, one third will fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
13. 'Thus My anger will be spent, and I will satisfy My wrath on them, and I shall be appeased; then they will know that I, the LORD, have spoken in My zeal when I have spent My wrath upon them.
14. 'Moreover, I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations which surround you, in the sight of all who pass by.
15. 'So it will be a reproach, a reviling, a warning and an object of horror to the nations who surround you, when I execute judgments against you in anger, wrath, and raging rebukes. I, the LORD, have spoken.
16. 'When I send against them the deadly arrows of famine which were for the destruction of those whom I shall send to destroy you, then I shall also intensify the famine upon you, and break the staff of bread.
17. 'Moreover, I will send on you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you of children; plague and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the LORD, have spoken.' "

1. ואתה בן אדם קח לך חרב חדה תער הגלבים תקחנה לך והעברת על ראשך ועל זקנך ולקחת לך מאזני משקל וחלקתם׃
2. שלשית באור תבעיר בתוך העיר כמלאת ימי המצור ולקחת את השלשית תכה בחרב סביבותיה והשלשית תזרה לרוח וחרב אריק אחריהם׃
3. ולקחת משם מעט במספר וצרת אותם בכנפיך׃
4. ומהם עוד תקח והשלכת אותם אל תוך האש ושרפת אתם באש ממנו תצא אש אל כל בית ישראל׃
5. כה אמר אדני יהוה זאת ירושלם בתוך הגוים שמתיה וסביבותיה ארצות׃
6. ותמר את משפטי לרשעה מן הגוים ואת חקותי מן הארצות אשר סביבותיה כי במשפטי מאסו וחקותי לא הלכו בהם׃
7. לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען המנכם מן הגוים אשר סביבותיכם בחקותי לא הלכתם ואת משפטי לא עשיתם וכמשפטי הגוים אשר סביבותיכם לא עשיתם׃
8. לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני עליך גם אני ועשיתי בתוכך משפטים לעיני הגוים׃
9. ועשיתי בך את אשר לא עשיתי ואת אשר לא אעשה כמהו עוד יען כל תועבתיך׃
10. לכן אבות יאכלו בנים בתוכך ובנים יאכלו אבותם ועשיתי בך שפטים וזריתי את כל שאריתך לכל רוח׃
11. לכן חי אני נאם אדני יהוה אם לא יען את מקדשי טמאת בכל שקוציך ובכל תועבתיך וגם אני אגרע ולא תחוס עיני וגם אני לא אחמול׃
12. שלשתיך בדבר ימותו וברעב יכלו בתוכך והשלשית בחרב יפלו סביבותיך והשלישית לכל רוח אזרה וחרב אריק אחריהם׃
13. וכלה אפי והנחותי חמתי בם והנחמתי וידעו כי אני יהוה דברתי בקנאתי בכלותי חמתי בם׃
14. ואתנך לחרבה ולחרפה בגוים אשר סביבותיך לעיני כל עובר׃
15. והיתה חרפה וגדופה מוסר ומשמה לגוים אשר סביבותיך בעשותי בך שפטים באף ובחמה ובתכחות חמה אני יהוה דברתי׃
16. בשלחי את חצי הרעב הרעים בהם אשר היו למשחית אשר אשלח אותם לשחתכם ורעב אסף עליכם ושברתי לכם מטה לחם׃
17. ושלחתי עליכם רעב וחיה רעה ושכלך ודבר ודם יעבר בך וחרב אביא עליך אני יהוה דברתי׃
