두 자매가 간음을 행함

1.  여호와의 말씀이 내게 임해 말씀하셨다.

2.  “사람아, 두 여자가 있었는데 그들은 한 어머니의 딸들이다.

3.  그들이 이집트에서 음란한 짓을 했고 어린 시절에 창녀가 됐다. 그곳에서 그들의 가슴이 어루만져졌고 그곳에서 그 처녀의 젖가슴이 애무당했다.

4.  그들의 이름은 언니는 오홀라고 동생은 오홀리바다. 그들은 나와의 사이에서 아들들과 딸들을 낳았다. 그들의 이름을 말하자면 오홀라는 사마리아고 오홀리바는 예루살렘이다.

5.  오홀라는 그녀가 아직 내게 속했을 때 음란한 짓을 했다. 그녀는 이웃인 앗시리아 사람을 갈망했다.

6.  그들은 자주색 옷을 입은 통치자들과 지도자들로서 모두 잘생긴 젊은이들이었으며 말을 타는 기마병들이었다.

7.  그녀는 앗시리아 사람들 가운데 모든 잘생긴 사람들과 음란한 짓을 했고 또 자기가 갈망하던 모든 사람들의 우상들로 자신을 더럽혔다.

8.  그녀는 이집트에서부터의 음란한 짓을 버리지 않았다. 그녀의 어린 시절 그들이 그녀와 함께 드러눕고 그녀의 처녀 젖가슴을 애무했다. 그리고 그녀 위에 그들의 정욕을 쏟아 부었다.

9.  그러므로 내가 그녀를 그녀의 애인들의 손에, 그녀가 갈망하는 앗시리아 사람들 손에 넘겨주었다.

10.  그들은 그녀를 벌거벗겼고 그녀의 아들들과 딸들을 데리고 갔으며 그녀를 칼로 죽였다. 그녀는 여자들 사이에서 웃음거리가 됐다. 그들이 그녀를 심판한 것이다.

11.  그녀의 동생 오홀리바는 이것을 보았다. 그러나 그녀는 언니보다 더 타락했으며 그녀의 음란한 짓은 자기 언니의 음란한 짓보다 더 했다.

12.  그녀는 이웃인 앗시리아 사람들을 갈망했는데 그들은 통치자들과 지도자들로서 화려한 옷을 입은 용사들이었고 말을 타는 기마병들이었고 모두 잘생긴 젊은이들이었다.

13.  내가 그녀 또한 자신을 더럽힌 것을 보았다. 그들 둘 다 똑같은 길을 간 것이다.

14.  그러나 그녀는 음란한 짓을 더해 갔다. 그녀는 벽에 새겨진 남자들의 모습, 곧 붉은색으로 새겨진 바벨론 사람들의 모습을 보았다.

15.  허리에는 띠를 두르고 머리에는 길게 늘어뜨린 띠를 한 모습이 모두 갈대아 태생인 바벨론 장교들처럼 보였다.

16.  그녀는 그들을 보자마자 그들에게 정욕을 품어 갈대아에 사람을 보냈다.

17.  그러자 바벨론 사람들은 그녀에게로 와서 애정 행위를 하는 침대로 들어가 그들의 음란함으로 그녀를 더럽혔다. 그녀는 그들로 인해 더러워진 뒤 그들과 사이가 멀어졌다.

18.  그녀는 음란한 짓을 드러내 놓고 하며 알몸을 드러내 보였다. 그래서 내가 그녀의 언니와 사이가 멀어지게 된 것처럼 그녀와도 사이가 멀어지게 됐다.

19.  그럼에도 그녀는 이집트 땅에서 음란한 짓을 하던 어린 시절을 회상하면서 음란한 짓을 더 했다.

20.  몸은 나귀와 같고 정력은 말과 같은 애인들을 그녀는 갈망했다.

21.  이집트 사람들이 네 어린 젖가슴을 어루만졌던 어린 시절의 음란함을 네가 그리워했다.

22.  그러므로 오홀리바여, 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 너와 사이가 멀어진 네 애인들을 내가 선동해 너를 대적하게 할 것이다. 사방에서 그들을 네게 보낼 것이다.

23.  바벨론 사람들, 모든 갈대아 사람들, 브곳과 소아와 고아 사람들 그리고 그들과 더불어 모든 앗시리아 사람들 말이다. 그들은 모두 잘생긴 젊은이들이며 모두가 통치자들, 지도자들, 장교들, 유명한 사람들이며 모두가 말을 타는 사람들이다.

24.  그들이 무기와 전차와 수레와 한 무리의 사람들을 거느리고 너를 대적해 올 것이다. 그들은 크고 작은 방패를 갖고 투구를 쓰고 너를 대적해 사방에 포진할 것이다. 내가 그들에게 심판권을 넘겨줄 것이니 그들이 자기의 방식에 따라 너를 심판할 것이다.

25.  내가 너를 향해 질투를 낼 것이니 그들이 격분해 너를 대하며 네 코와 귀를 자를 것이다. 그리고 네 남은 사람들은 칼에 쓰러질 것이다. 그들은 네 아들들과 딸들을 끌고 갈 것이고 네 남은 사람들은 불에 삼켜질 것이다.

26.  그들은 네 옷을 벗기고 네 아름다운 장신구를 빼앗을 것이다.

27.  그래서 이집트 땅에서부터 했던 네 음란함과 창녀 짓을 내가 멈추게 할 것이다. 그리하여 네가 그들에게 눈을 들지도 않으며 이집트를 더 이상 기억하지도 않을 것이다.

28.  나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네가 싫어하는 사람들, 너와 사이가 멀어진 사람들의 손에 내가 너를 넘겨줄 것이다.

29.  그들이 미워함으로 너를 대하고 네가 일해서 얻은 모든 것을 뺏어 갈 것이다. 그들이 너를 벌거벗기고 알몸으로 버릴 것이다. 네가 알몸으로 창녀 짓 한 것, 곧 네 음란함과 창녀 짓이 드러나게 될 것이다.

30.  이것들이 네게 행해지게 될 것은 네가 민족들을 뒤따라서 음란한 짓을 하고 그들의 우상들로 더러워졌기 때문이다.

31.  네가 네 언니의 길을 뒤따라 갔으니 내가 네 손에 그녀의 잔을 줄 것이다.

32.  나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. ‘크고 깊은 네 언니의 잔을 네가 들이키고 많이 담을 수 있는 그 큰 잔이 조롱과 비웃음의 대상이 될 것이다.

33.  공포와 황폐함이 담긴 잔아, 네 자매 사마리아의 잔아, 네가 술 취함과 슬픔으로 가득할 것이다.

34.  네가 그것을 마셔서 비우고 그것을 산산조각나게 깨뜨리며 네 가슴을 찢을 것이다. 내가 말했기 때문이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

35.  그러므로 나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네가 나를 잊었고 나를 네 등 뒤로 밀어붙였기 때문에 네 음란함과 창녀짓에 대해 네가 감당해야 할 것이다.”

36.  여호와께서 내게 말씀하셨습니다. “사람아, 네가 오홀라와 오홀리바를 심판하겠느냐? 그렇다면 그들에게 그들의 혐오스러운 일들을 언급하여라.

37.  그들이 간음했고 그들의 손에 피가 있기 때문이다. 그들이 우상들과 간음했다. 심지어 그들이 내게 낳아 준 그들의 자식들을 제물로 바쳐 불 속을 지나가게 했다.

38.  그들은 또 내게 이런 일도 했다. 같은 날 그들이 내 성소를 더럽히고 내 안식일을 모독했다.

39.  그들이 자식들을 우상들에게 희생제물로 바치고 나서 바로 그날 내 성소에 들어와 그곳을 더럽힌 것이다. 그들이 이런 짓을 내 집 가운데서 했다.

40.  또한 두 자매는 사자를 보내 먼 곳으로부터 오는 사람들을 불렀다. 그들이 왔다. 너는 그들을 위해 목욕하고 네 눈에 화장을 하고 장신구로 치장했다.

41.  그리고 너는 우아하고 긴 의자에 앉아서 그 앞에 상을 차리고 그 위에 내 분향과 기름을 놓아두었다.

42.  떠들썩한 군중의 소리가 그곳에서 들렸고 술 취한 몇몇 사람들을 광야로부터 데려와서 그들이 두 자매의 팔에 팔찌를 끼우고 두 자매의 머리에 아름다운 왕관을 씌웠다.

43.  그때 간음으로 찌든 두 여자에 대해 내가 생각했다. ‘이제 그들이 저 여자와 음란한 짓을 할까? 그리고 저 여자와도?’

44.  그들이 그 여자에게로 들어갔다. 사람들이 창녀에게 들어가듯이 그들이 음란한 여자들인 오홀라와 오홀리바에게 그렇게 들어갔다.

45.  그러나 간음한 여자들을 심판하며 피를 흘린 여자들을 심판하듯이 의인들이 저들을 심판할 것이다. 저들이 음란한 여자들이고 저들의 손에 피가 묻어 있기 때문이다.

46.  나 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 저 두 자매를 대적해 한 무리를 일으켜 세워라. 저들을 공포와 약탈에 넘겨주어라.

47.  그 무리가 저들에게 돌을 던지고 자기의 칼로 저들을 벨 것이다. 그들이 두 자매의 아들들과 딸들을 죽이고 저들의 집을 불태울 것이다.

48.  이렇듯 내가 그 땅으로부터 음란함을 멈추게 해서 모든 여자들이 교훈을 얻고 그들이 너희의 음란함과 같은 일을 하지 않을 것이다.

49.  그들이 너희의 음란함을 너희에게 갚아 줄 것이다. 너희는 너희의 우상들에 대한 죄를 감당하게 될 것이다. 그러면 내가 주 여호와임을 너희가 알게 될 것이다.”

[NASB]제23장

1.  The word of the LORD came to me again saying,

2.  "Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother;

3.  and they played the harlot in Egypt. They played the harlot in their youth; there their breasts were pressed, and there their virgin bosom was handled.

4.  "And their names were Oholah the elder and Oholibah her sister. And they became Mine, and they bore sons and daughters. And [as for] their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem is Oholibah.

5.  "And Oholah played the harlot while she was Mine; and she lusted after her lovers, after the Assyrians, [her] neighbors,

6.  who were clothed in purple, governors and officials, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses.

7.  "And she bestowed her harlotries on them, all of whom [were] the choicest men of Assyria; and with all whom she lusted after, with all their idols she defiled herself.

8.  "And she did not forsake her harlotries from [the time in] Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her, and they handled her virgin bosom and poured out their lust on her.

9.  "Therefore, I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, after whom she lusted.

10.  "They uncovered her nakedness; they took her sons and her daughters, but they slew her with the sword. Thus she became a byword among women, and they executed judgments on her.

11.  "Now her sister Oholibah saw [this,] yet she was more corrupt in her lust than she, and her harlotries were more than the harlotries of her sister.

12.  "She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and officials, the ones near, magnificently dressed, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.

13.  "And I saw that she had defiled herself; they both took the same way.

14.  "So she increased her harlotries. And she saw men portrayed on the wall, images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,

15.  girded with belts on their loins, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like officers, like the Babylonians [in] Chaldea, the land of their birth.

16.  "And when she saw them she lusted after them and sent messengers to them in Chaldea.

17.  "And the Babylonians came to her to the bed of love, and they defiled her with their harlotry. And when she had been defiled by them, she became disgusted with them.

18.  "And she uncovered her harlotries and uncovered her nakedness; then I became disgusted with her, as I had become disgusted with her sister.

19.  "Yet she multiplied her harlotries, remembering the days of her youth, when she played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

20.  "And she lusted after their paramours, whose flesh is [like] the flesh of donkeys and whose issue is [like] the issue of horses.

21.  "Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom because of the breasts of your youth.

22.  "Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold I will arouse your lovers against you, from whom you were alienated, and I will bring them against you from every side:

23.  the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, [and] all the Assyrians with them; desirable young men, governors and officials all of them, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.

24.  'And they will come against you with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you on every side with buckler and shield and helmet; and I shall commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their customs.

25.  'And I will set My jealousy against you, that they may deal with you in wrath. They will remove your nose and your ears; and your survivors will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and your survivors will be consumed by the fire.

26.  'They will also strip you of your clothes and take away your beautiful jewels.

27.  'Thus I shall make your lewdness and your harlotry [brought] from the land of Egypt to cease from you, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them or remember Egypt anymore.'

28.  "For thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I will give you into the hand of those whom you hate, into the hand of those from whom you were alienated.

29.  'And they will deal with you in hatred, take all your property, and leave you naked and bare. And the nakedness of your harlotries shall be uncovered, both your lewdness and your harlotries.

30.  'These things will be done to you because you have played the harlot with the nations, because you have defiled yourself with their idols.

31.  'You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hand.'

32.  "Thus says the Lord GOD, 'You will drink your sister's cup, Which is deep and wide. You will be laughed at and held in derision; It contains much.

33.  'You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, The cup of horror and desolation, The cup of your sister Samaria.

34.  'And you will drink it and drain it. Then you will gnaw its fragments And tear your breasts; for I have spoken,' declares the Lord GOD.

35.  "Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, bear now the [punishment] of your lewdness and your harlotries.'"

36.  Moreover, the LORD said to me, "Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations.

37.  "For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. Thus they have committed adultery with their idols and even caused their sons, whom they bore to Me, to pass through [the fire] to them as food.

38.  "Again, they have done this to Me: they have defiled My sanctuary on the same day and have profaned My sabbaths.

39.  "For when they had slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered My sanctuary on the same day to profane it; and lo, thus they did within My house.

40.  "Furthermore, they have even sent for men who come from afar, to whom a messenger was sent; and lo, they came-- for whom you bathed, painted your eyes, and decorated yourselves with ornaments;

41.  and you sat on a splendid couch with a table arranged before it, on which you had set My incense and My oil.

42.  "And the sound of a carefree multitude was with her; and drunkards were brought from the wilderness with men of the common sort. And they put bracelets on the hands of the women and beautiful crowns on their heads.

43.  "Then I said concerning her who was worn out by adulteries, 'Will they now commit adultery with her when she is [thus]?'

44.  "But they went in to her as they would go in to a harlot. Thus they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.

45.  "But they, righteous men, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.

46.  "For thus says the Lord GOD, 'Bring up a company against them, and give them over to terror and plunder.

47.  'And the company will stone them with stones and cut them down with their swords; they will slay their sons and their daughters and burn their houses with fire.

48.  'Thus I shall make lewdness cease from the land, that all women may be admonished and not commit lewdness as you have done.

49.  'And your lewdness will be requited upon you, and you will bear the penalty of [worshiping] your idols; thus you will know that I am the Lord GOD.' "

[히브리어]제23장

1.  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

2.  בן אדם שתים נשים בנות אם אחת היו׃

3.  ותזנינה במצרים בנעוריהן זנו שמה מעכו שדיהן ושם עשו דדי בתוליהן׃

4.  ושמותן אהלה הגדולה ואהליבה אחותה ותהיינה לי ותלדנה בנים ובנות ושמותן שמרון אהלה וירושלם אהליבה׃

5.  ותזן אהלה תחתי ותעגב על מאהביה אל אשור קרובים׃

6.  לבשי תכלת פחות וסגנים בחורי חמד כלם פרשים רכבי סוסים׃

7.  ותתן תזנותיה עליהם מבחר בני אשור כלם ובכל אשר עגבה בכל גלוליהם נטמאה׃

8.  ואת תזנותיה ממצרים לא עזבה כי אותה שכבו בנעוריה והמה עשו דדי בתוליה וישפכו תזנותם עליה׃

9.  לכן נתתיה ביד מאהביה ביד בני אשור אשר עגבה עליהם׃

10.  המה גלו ערותה בניה ובנותיה לקחו ואותה בחרב הרגו ותהי שם לנשים ושפוטים עשו בה׃

11.  ותרא אחותה אהליבה ותשחת עגבתה ממנה ואת תזנותיה מזנוני אחותה׃

12.  אל בני אשור עגבה פחות וסגנים קרבים לבשי מכלול פרשים רכבי סוסים בחורי חמד כלם׃

13.  וארא כי נטמאה דרך אחד לשתיהן׃

14.  ותוסף אל תזנותיה ותרא אנשי מחקה על הקיר צלמי כשדיים חקקים בששר׃

15.  חגורי אזור במתניהם סרוחי טבולים בראשיהם מראה שלישים כלם דמות בני בבל כשדים ארץ מולדתם׃

16.  ותעגב עליהם למראה עיניה ותשלח מלאכים אליהם כשדימה׃

17.  ויבאו אליה בני בבל למשכב דדים ויטמאו אותה בתזנותם ותטמא בם ותקע נפשה מהם׃

18.  ותגל תזנותיה ותגל את ערותה ותקע נפשי מעליה כאשר נקעה נפשי מעל אחותה׃

19.  ותרבה את תזנותיה לזכר את ימי נעוריה אשר זנתה בארץ מצרים׃

20.  ותעגבה על פלגשיהם אשר בשר חמורים בשרם וזרמת סוסים זרמתם׃

21.  ותפקדי את זמת נעוריך בעשות ממצרים דדיך למען שדי נעוריך׃

22.  לכן אהליבה כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני מעיר את מאהביך עליך את אשר נקעה נפשך מהם והבאתים עליך מסביב׃

23.  בני בבל וכל כשדים פקוד ושוע וקוע כל בני אשור אותם בחורי חמד פחות וסגנים כלם שלשים וקרואים רכבי סוסים כלם׃

24.  ובאו עליך הצן רכב וגלגל ובקהל עמים צנה ומגן וקובע ישימו עליך סביב ונתתי לפניהם משפט ושפטוך במשפטיהם׃

25.  ונתתי קנאתי בך ועשו אותך בחמה אפך ואזניך יסירו ואחריתך בחרב תפול המה בניך ובנותיך יקחו ואחריתך תאכל באש׃

26.  והפשיטוך את בגדיך ולקחו כלי תפארתך׃

27.  והשבתי זמתך ממך ואת זנותך מארץ מצרים ולא תשאי עיניך אליהם ומצרים לא תזכרי עוד׃

28.  כי כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני נתנך ביד אשר שנאת ביד אשר נקעה נפשך מהם׃

29.  ועשו אותך בשנאה ולקחו כל יגיעך ועזבוך עירם ועריה ונגלה ערות זנוניך וזמתך ותזנותיך׃

30.  עשה אלה לך בזנותך אחרי גוים על אשר נטמאת בגלוליהם׃

31.  בדרך אחותך הלכת ונתתי כוסה בידך׃

32.  כה אמר אדני יהוה כוס אחותך תשתי העמקה והרחבה תהיה לצחק וללעג מרבה להכיל׃

33.  שכרון ויגון תמלאי כוס שמה ושממה כוס אחותך שמרון׃

34.  ושתית אותה ומצית ואת חרשיה תגרמי ושדיך תנתקי כי אני דברתי נאם אדני יהוה׃

35.  לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען שכחת אותי ותשליכי אותי אחרי גוך וגם את שאי זמתך ואת תזנותיך׃

36.  ויאמר יהוה אלי בן אדם התשפוט את אהלה ואת אהליבה והגד להן את תועבותיהן׃

37.  כי נאפו ודם בידיהן ואת גלוליהן נאפו וגם את בניהן אשר ילדו לי העבירו להם לאכלה׃

38.  עוד זאת עשו לי טמאו את מקדשי ביום ההוא ואת שבתותי חללו׃

39.  ובשחטם את בניהם לגלוליהם ויבאו אל מקדשי ביום ההוא לחללו והנה כה עשו בתוך ביתי׃

40.  ואף כי תשלחנה לאנשים באים ממרחק אשר מלאך שלוח אליהם והנה באו לאשר רחצת כחלת עיניך ועדית עדי׃

41.  וישבת על מטה כבודה ושלחן ערוך לפניה וקטרתי ושמני שמת עליה׃

42.  וקול המון שלו בה ואל אנשים מרב אדם מובאים סובאים ממדבר ויתנו צמידים אל ידיהן ועטרת תפארת על ראשיהן׃

43.  ואמר לבלה נאופים עת יזנה תזנותיה והיא׃

44.  ויבוא אליה כבוא אל אשה זונה כן באו אל אהלה ואל אהליבה אשת הזמה׃

45.  ואנשים צדיקם המה ישפטו אותהם משפט נאפות ומשפט שפכות דם כי נאפת הנה ודם בידיהן׃

46.  כי כה אמר אדני יהוה העלה עליהם קהל ונתן אתהן לזעוה ולבז׃

47.  ורגמו עליהן אבן קהל וברא אותהן בחרבותם בניהם ובנותיהם יהרגו ובתיהן באש ישרפו׃

48.  והשבתי זמה מן הארץ ונוסרו כל הנשים ולא תעשינה כזמתכנה׃

49.  ונתנו זמתכנה עליכן וחטאי גלוליכן תשאינה וידעתם כי אני אדני יהוה׃
