이스라엘이 반역함

1.  7년째 되는 해 다섯째 달 10일에 이스라엘의 장로들 몇 사람이 여호와께 묻기 위해 와서 내 앞에 앉았다.

2.  그러자 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임해 말씀하셨다.

3.  “사람아, 이스라엘의 장로들에게 선포해 말하여라. ‘주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 너희가 내게 물으려고 왔느냐? 내 삶을 두고 맹세하는데 묻기를 용납하지 않을 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다’

4.  네가 그들을 심판하겠느냐? 사람아, 네가 심판하겠느냐? 그렇다면 그들의 조상의 혐오스러운 일들을 그들에게 알리고

5.  그들에게 말하여라.” 주 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “내가 이스라엘을 선택했던 날, 나는 야곱 족속의 자손들에게 내 손을 들어 맹세하며 이집트 땅에서 그들에게 나를 나타내 보였다. 내가 그들에게 내 손을 들고 맹세했다. ‘나는 너희의 하나님 여호와다.’

6.  이집트 땅으로부터 내가 그들을 위해 찾아 마련해 둔 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅, 모든 땅 가운데 가장 아름다운 땅으로 이끌어 내겠다고 그날 내가 그들에게 내 손을 들고 맹세했다.

7.  그러면서 내가 그들에게 말했다. ‘너희는 각자 자기의 눈에 드는 가증스러운 우상들을 던져 버리고 이집트의 우상들로 자신을 더럽히지 말라. 나는 너희의 하나님 여호와다.’

8.  그러나 그들은 내게 반역했고 내게 귀 기울이려고 하지 않았다. 그들은 각자 자기의 눈에 드는 가증스러운 우상들을 던져 버리지 않았고 이집트의 우상들을 버리지도 않았다. 그리하여 내 진노를 그들에게 쏟아 부을 것이며 이집트 땅 가운데서 그들을 향해 내 분노를 발할 것이라고 내가 그들에게 말했다.

9.  그러나 나는 내 이름으로 인해 여러 이방 민족들이 보는 앞에서 이스라엘 민족을 이집트 땅에서 이끌고 나옴으로써 그들에게 내 자신을 나타내 보였고 이스라엘이 이방 사람들 앞에서 내 이름을 더럽히지 않도록 했다.

10.  그러므로 내가 그들을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 내 그들을 광야로 데려갔다.

11.  내가 그들에게 내 법령을 주고 내 규례를 알게 했다. 그것을 지키는 사람은 그것으로 인해 살 것이기 때문이다.

12.  또한 내가 그들에게 나와 그들 사이의 징표로 안식일을 주었는데 그것은 나 여호와가 그들을 거룩하게 한다는 것을 그들로 하여금 알게 하려는 것이었다.

13.  그러나 이스라엘 족속은 광야에서 내게 반역했다. 내 법령과 규례를 지키는 사람은 그것으로 인해 살 것이라고 했음에도 불구하고 그들은 내 법령에 따르지 않았고 내 규례를 거부했다. 그리고 그들은 내 안식일을 철저히 더럽혔다. 그래서 내가 광야에서 내 진노를 그들에게 쏟아 부어 그들을 멸망시키겠다고 말했다.

14.  그러나 내 이름을 더럽히지 않기 위해 이방 사람들이 보는 앞에서 이스라엘을 이끌어 냈는데 그 이방 사람들 앞에서 내 이름을 더럽힐 이 같은 일을 행하지는 않았다.

15.  또한 광야에서 내 손을 들어 그들에게 맹세했다. 내가 그들에게 준 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅, 모든 땅 가운데 가장 아름다운 땅으로 그들을 들여보내지 않을 것이다.

16.  그것은 그들이 내 규례를 무시하고 내 법령을 따르지 않았으며 내 안식일을 더럽혔기 때문이다. 그들의 마음이 그들의 우상을 쫓아갔던 것이다.

17.  그러나 내 눈이 그들을 불쌍히 여겨서 그들을 멸망시키지 않았고 광야에서 그들을 전멸시키지 않았다.

18.  그리고 내가 광야에서 그들의 자손들에게 말했다. ‘너희의 조상들의 법령을 따르지 말고 그들의 규례를 지키지 말라. 그들의 우상들로 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말라.

19.  나는 너희의 하나님 여호와다. 내 법령을 따르고 내 규례를 지키고 그것들을 행하라.

20.  내 안식일을 거룩하게 지키라. 그것이 나와 너희 사이에 징표가 돼 내가 너희 하나님 여호와임을 너희가 알게 될 것이다.’

21.  그러나 그들의 자손들이 내게 반역했다. 그것들을 지키는 사람은 그것들로 인해 살 것임에도 불구하고 그들은 내 법령을 따르지 않았고 내 규례를 지켜 행하지 않았다. 그리고 그들은 내 안식일을 더럽혔다. 그리하여 내가 내 진노를 그들에게 쏟아 부어 광야에서 그들에게 분노를 발할 것이라고 말했다.

22.  그러나 내 이름을 더럽히지 않기 위해 나는 내 손을 거두었다. 그래서 내가 이스라엘 사람들을 이끌고 나온 것을 본 저 이방 사람들이 보는 앞에서 내 이름이 더럽혀지지 않도록 했다.

23.  또한 광야에서 내 손을 들고 그들에게 맹세했다. 내가 그들을 이방 사람들 가운데 흩어 버리고 여러 나라에 퍼지게 하겠다.

24.  이것은 그들이 내 규례를 실행하지 않았기 때문이다. 내 법령을 무시하고 내 안식일을 더럽혔으며 그들의 눈이 자기 조상의 우상을 뒤따르고 있었기 때문이다.

25.  그러므로 내가 그들에게 선하지 않은 법령과 그것을 의지해서는 살지 못할 규례를 주었다.

26.  그들의 모든 첫아이를 불에 태울 제물로 드리게 해 그들을 부정하다고 선포했는데 이것은 그들을 놀라게 해 내가 여호와임을 그들로 알게 하려는 것이다.

27.  그러므로 사람아, 이스라엘 족속에게 선포해 말하여라. ‘주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 네 조상들이 이런 일을 저질러 내게 신실하지 못함으로 나를 모독했다.

28.  내가 내 손을 들어 그것을 그들에게 주겠다고 맹세한 그 땅으로 그들을 오게 했을 때 그들은 어디든 높은 언덕이나 나뭇잎이 우거진 나무를 보면 그곳에서 우상에게 희생제물을 바치고 내 분노를 자아내는 그 제물을 그곳에 바쳤다. 그들은 그곳에서 분향을 하고 전제물을 그곳에 부었다.

29.  그때 내가 그들에게 말했다. 너희가 찾아 가는 이 산당이 무엇이냐?’” (그리하여 그 이름이 지금까지 바마라고 불린다.)

심판과 회복

30.  “그러므로 너는 이스라엘 족속에게 말하여라. ‘주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 너희가 너희 조상들의 방식대로 너희 자신을 더럽히고 그들의 가증스러운 우상들을 뒤따라 음란한 행위를 할 것이냐?

31.  너희가 너희의 아들들을 불 속으로 지나가게 해 제물을 바치고 오늘날까지도 모든 우상들로 너희 자신을 더럽혀 왔다. 이스라엘 족속아, 그런데 내가 너희의 질문을 허락하겠느냐? 내 삶을 두고 맹세하는데 내가 너희에게 질문을 허락하지 않을 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.’”

32.  ‘우리가 이방 사람, 곧 다른 나라 족속처럼 돼서 나무와 돌을 섬기겠다’라고 너희가 말하는 너희 마음속의 생각은 결코 이뤄지지 않을 것이다.

33.  내 삶을 두고 맹세한다. 강한 손과 쭉 뻗친 팔과 쏟아 부은 진노로 너희를 다스릴 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

34.  내가 강한 손과 쭉 뻗친 팔과 쏟아 부은 진노로 너희를 민족들에게서 이끌어 내고 너희가 흩어져 있던 여러 나라들로부터 너희를 모을 것이다.

35.  내가 너희를 민족들의 광야로 데려가 그곳에서 너희를 대면해 심판할 것이다.

36.  내가 이집트 땅의 광야에서 너희 조상들을 심판했던 것처럼 너희도 그렇게 심판할 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

37.  내가 너희를 지팡이 아래로 지나가게 하며 너희를 언약의 관계에 들어가게 할 것이다.

38.  내가 너희 가운데 내게 반역하는 사람들과 죄짓는 사람들을 없애 깨끗하게 할 것이다. 내가 그들이 머물러 살고 있는 땅으로부터 그들을 이끌어 내겠지만 그들이 이스라엘 땅으로는 들어가지 못할 것이다. 그러면 내가 여호와임을 너희가 알게 될 것이다.

39.  너희 이스라엘 족속아, 주 여호와가 말한다. 너희 각자는 자기의 우상을 따르고 섬기려면 그렇게 하라. 그러나 이후에는 너희가 다시금 내게 귀를 기울이며 더 이상 너희의 제물들과 우상들로 내 거룩한 이름을 더럽히지 말 것이다.

40.  내 거룩한 산에서, 이스라엘의 높은 산에서, 그곳에서 이스라엘 족속 모두와 그 땅의 모든 사람들이 나를 섬길 것이다. 그래서 내가 그곳에서 그들을 받아들일 것이고 그곳에서 내가 너희의 제물과 너희가 드리는 첫 생산물과 더불어 너희의 모든 거룩한 것들을 요구할 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.

41.  내가 너희를 여러 민족들로부터 이끌어 내고 흩어져 있던 여러 나라들로부터 너희를 모을 때 내가 너희를 향기로 받을 것이다. 이방 사람들이 보는 앞에서 너희에게 내가 거룩히 여김을 받을 것이다.

42.  내가 너희를 이스라엘 땅, 곧 너희 조상들에게 줄 것이라고 내가 내 손을 들고 맹세한 그 땅으로 들어가게 할 때 내가 여호와임을 너희가 알게 될 것이다.

43.  그곳에서 너희는 너희의 행동과 너희 자신을 더럽힌 모든 행위들을 기억하게 될 것이고 너희가 행한 모든 죄악으로 인해서 너희 자신을 몹시 미워하게 될 것이다.

44.  이스라엘 족속아, 내가 너희 악한 행동들이나 너희 타락한 행위를 따라 그대로 갚지 않고 내 이름을 더럽히지 않으려고 할 때 내가 여호와임을 너희가 알게 될 것이다. 주 여호와의 말이다.”

남쪽에 대한 예언

45.  여호와의 말씀이 내게 임해 말씀하셨다.

46.  “사람아, 네 얼굴을 남쪽을 향해 돌려라. 남쪽을 향해 선포하고 남쪽 땅의 숲을 대적해서 예언하여라.

47.  남쪽의 숲에 말하여라. ‘여호와의 말씀을 들으라. 주 여호와가 이렇게 말한다. 내가 네게 불을 붙일 것이니 불이 네 안에 있는 모든 푸른 나무와 마른 나무를 다 삼킬 것이다. 타오르는 불꽃이 꺼지지 않을 것이고 남쪽에서부터 북쪽까지 모든 사람의 얼굴이 불에 그슬릴 것이다.

48.  나 여호와가 그것을 불붙인 것임을 모든 사람들이 알게 될 것이다. 그 불은 꺼지지 않을 것이다.’”

49.  그때 내가 말했습니다. “주 여호와여! 그들이 나를 두고 말합니다. ‘그는 비유로 말하는 사람이 아니냐?’”

[NASB]제20장

1.  Now it came about in the seventh year, in the fifth [month,] on the tenth of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

2.  And the word of the LORD came to me saying,

3.  "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD," Do you come to inquire of Me? As I live, "declares the Lord GOD," I will not be inquired of by you. "'

4.  "Will you judge them, will you judge them, son of man? Make them know the abominations of their fathers;

5.  and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the LORD your God,

6.  on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

7.  "And I said to them, 'Cast away, each of you, the detestable things of his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.'

8.  "But they rebelled against Me and were not willing to listen to Me; they did not cast away the detestable things of their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

9.  "But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they [lived,] in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

10.  "So I took them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.

11.  "And I gave them My statutes and informed them of My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live.

12.  "And also I gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

13.  "But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they rejected My ordinances, by which, if a man observes them, he will live; and My sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.

14.  "But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, before whose sight I had brought them out.

15.  "And also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands,

16.  because they rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their heart continually went after their idols.

17.  "Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not cause their annihilation in the wilderness.

18.  "And I said to their children in the wilderness, 'Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, or keep their ordinances, or defile yourselves with their idols.

19.  'I am the LORD your God; walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances, and observe them.

20.  'And sanctify My sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.'

21.  "But the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to observe My ordinances, by which, [if] a man observes them, he will live; they profaned My sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to accomplish My anger against them in the wilderness.

22.  "But I withdrew My hand and acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

23.  "Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them among the lands,

24.  because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes, and had profaned My sabbaths, and their eyes were on the idols of their fathers.

25.  "And I also gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not live;

26.  and I pronounced them unclean because of their gifts, in that they caused all their first-born to pass through [the fire] so that I might make them desolate, in order that they might know that I am the LORD. "'

27.  "Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD," Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed Me by acting treacherously against Me.

28.  "When I had brought them into the land which I swore to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every leafy tree, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There also they made their soothing aroma, and there they poured out their libations.

29.  "Then I said to them, 'What is the high place to which you go?' So its name is called Bamah to this day." '

30.  "Therefore, say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD," Will you defile yourselves after the manner of your fathers and play the harlot after their detestable things?

31.  "And when you offer your gifts, when you cause your sons to pass through the fire, you are defiling yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "I will not be inquired of by you.

32.  "And what comes into your mind will not come about, when you say: ' We will be like the nations, like the tribes of the lands, serving wood and stone. '

33.  "As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out, I shall be king over you.

34.  "And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out;

35.  and I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I shall enter into judgment with you face to face.

36.  "As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you," declares the Lord GOD.

37.  "And I shall make you pass under the rod, and I shall bring you into the bond of the covenant;

38.  and I shall purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I shall bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am the LORD.

39.  "As for you, O house of Israel," thus says the Lord GOD, "Go, serve everyone his idols; but later, you will surely listen to Me, and My holy name you will profane no longer with your gifts and with your idols.

40.  "For on My holy mountain, on the high mountain of Israel," declares the Lord GOD, "there the whole house of Israel, all of them, will serve Me in the land; there I shall accept them, and there I shall seek your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your holy things.

41.  "As a soothing aroma I shall accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I shall prove Myself holy among you in the sight of the nations.

42.  "And you will know that I am the LORD, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the land which I swore to give to your forefathers.

43.  "And there you will remember your ways and all your deeds, with which you have defiled yourselves; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for all the evil things that you have done.

44.  "Then you will know that I am the LORD when I have dealt with you for My name's sake, not according to your evil ways or according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Israel," declares the Lord GOD. '"

45.  Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,

46.  "Son of man, set your face toward Teman, and speak out against the south, and prophesy against the forest land of the Negev,

47.  and say to the forest of the Negev, 'Hear the word of the LORD: thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am about to kindle a fire in you, and it shall consume every green tree in you, as well as every dry tree; the blazing flame will not be quenched, and the whole surface from south to north will be burned by it.

48.  "And all flesh will see that I, the LORD, have kindled it; it shall not be quenched." '"

49.  Then I said, "Ah Lord GOD! They are saying of me, 'Is he not [just] speaking parables?'"

[히브리어]제20장

1.  ויהי בשנה השביעית בחמשי בעשור לחדש באו אנשים מזקני ישראל לדרש את יהוה וישבו לפני׃

2.  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

3.  בן אדם דבר את זקני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כה אמר אדני יהוה הלדרש אתי אתם באים חי אני אם אדרש לכם נאם אדני יהוה׃

4.  התשפט אתם התשפוט בן אדם את תועבת אבותם הודיעם׃

5.  ואמרת אליהם כה אמר אדני יהוה ביום בחרי בישראל ואשא ידי לזרע בית יעקב ואודע להם בארץ מצרים ואשא ידי להם לאמר אני יהוה אלהיכם׃

6.  ביום ההוא נשאתי ידי להם להוציאם מארץ מצרים אל ארץ אשר תרתי להם זבת חלב ודבש צבי היא לכל הארצות׃

7.  ואמר אלהם איש שקוצי עיניו השליכו ובגלולי מצרים אל תטמאו אני יהוה אלהיכם׃

8.  וימרו בי ולא אבו לשמע אלי איש את שקוצי עיניהם לא השליכו ואת גלולי מצרים לא עזבו ואמר לשפך חמתי עליהם לכלות אפי בהם בתוך ארץ מצרים׃

9.  ואעש למען שמי לבלתי החל לעיני הגוים אשר המה בתוכם אשר נודעתי אליהם לעיניהם להוציאם מארץ מצרים׃

10.  ואוציאם מארץ מצרים ואבאם אל המדבר׃

11.  ואתן להם את חקותי ואת משפטי הודעתי אותם אשר יעשה אותם האדם וחי בהם׃

12.  וגם את שבתותי נתתי להם להיות לאות ביני וביניהם לדעת כי אני יהוה מקדשם׃

13.  וימרו בי בית ישראל במדבר בחקותי לא הלכו ואת משפטי מאסו אשר יעשה אתם האדם וחי בהם ואת שבתתי חללו מאד ואמר לשפך חמתי עליהם במדבר לכלותם׃

14.  ואעשה למען שמי לבלתי החל לעיני הגוים אשר הוצאתים לעיניהם׃

15.  וגם אני נשאתי ידי להם במדבר לבלתי הביא אותם אל הארץ אשר נתתי זבת חלב ודבש צבי היא לכל הארצות׃

16.  יען במשפטי מאסו ואת חקותי לא הלכו בהם ואת שבתותי חללו כי אחרי גלוליהם לבם הלך׃

17.  ותחס עיני עליהם משחתם ולא עשיתי אותם כלה במדבר׃

18.  ואמר אל בניהם במדבר בחוקי אבותיכם אל תלכו ואת משפטיהם אל תשמרו ובגלוליהם אל תטמאו׃

19.  אני יהוה אלהיכם בחקותי לכו ואת משפטי שמרו ועשו אותם׃

20.  ואת שבתותי קדשו והיו לאות ביני וביניכם לדעת כי אני יהוה אלהיכם׃

21.  וימרו בי הבנים בחקותי לא הלכו ואת משפטי לא שמרו לעשות אותם אשר יעשה אותם האדם וחי בהם את שבתותי חללו ואמר לשפך חמתי עליהם לכלות אפי בם במדבר׃

22.  והשבתי את ידי ואעש למען שמי לבלתי החל לעיני הגוים אשר הוצאתי אותם לעיניהם׃

23.  גם אני נשאתי את ידי להם במדבר להפיץ אתם בגוים ולזרות אותם בארצות׃

24.  יען משפטי לא עשו וחקותי מאסו ואת שבתותי חללו ואחרי גלולי אבותם היו עיניהם׃

25.  וגם אני נתתי להם חקים לא טובים ומשפטים לא יחיו בהם׃

26.  ואטמא אותם במתנותם בהעביר כל פטר רחם למען אשמם למען אשר ידעו אשר אני יהוה׃

27.  לכן דבר אל בית ישראל בן אדם ואמרת אליהם כה אמר אדני יהוה עוד זאת גדפו אותי אבותיכם במעלם בי מעל׃

28.  ואביאם אל הארץ אשר נשאתי את ידי לתת אותה להם ויראו כל גבעה רמה וכל עץ עבת ויזבחו שם את זבחיהם ויתנו שם כעס קרבנם וישימו שם ריח ניחוחיהם ויסיכו שם את נסכיהם׃

29.  ואמר אלהם מה הבמה אשר אתם הבאים שם ויקרא שמה במה עד היום הזה׃

30.  לכן אמר אל בית ישראל כה אמר אדני יהוה הבדרך אבותיכם אתם נטמאים ואחרי שקוציהם אתם זנים׃

31.  ובשאת מתנתיכם בהעביר בניכם באש אתם נטמאים לכל גלוליכם עד היום ואני אדרש לכם בית ישראל חי אני נאם אדני יהוה אם אדרש לכם׃

32.  והעלה על רוחכם היו לא תהיה אשר אתם אמרים נהיה כגוים כמשפחות הארצות לשרת עץ ואבן׃

33.  חי אני נאם אדני יהוה אם לא ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה ובחמה שפוכה אמלוך עליכם׃

34.  והוצאתי אתכם מן העמים וקבצתי אתכם מן הארצות אשר נפוצתם בם ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה ובחמה שפוכה׃

35.  והבאתי אתכם אל מדבר העמים ונשפטתי אתכם שם פנים אל פנים׃

36.  כאשר נשפטתי את אבותיכם במדבר ארץ מצרים כן אשפט אתכם נאם אדני יהוה׃

37.  והעברתי אתכם תחת השבט והבאתי אתכם במסרת הברית׃

38.  וברותי מכם המרדים והפושעים בי מארץ מגוריהם אוציא אותם ואל אדמת ישראל לא יבוא וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃

39.  ואתם בית ישראל כה אמר אדני יהוה איש גלוליו לכו עבדו ואחר אם אינכם שמעים אלי ואת שם קדשי לא תחללו עוד במתנותיכם ובגלוליכם׃

40.  כי בהר קדשי בהר מרום ישראל נאם אדני יהוה שם יעבדני כל בית ישראל כלה בארץ שם ארצם ושם אדרוש את תרומתיכם ואת ראשית משאותיכם בכל קדשיכם׃

41.  בריח ניחח ארצה אתכם בהוציאי אתכם מן העמים וקבצתי אתכם מן הארצות אשר נפצתם בם ונקדשתי בכם לעיני הגוים׃

42.  וידעתם כי אני יהוה בהביאי אתכם אל אדמת ישראל אל הארץ אשר נשאתי את ידי לתת אותה לאבותיכם׃

43.  וזכרתם שם את דרכיכם ואת כל עלילותיכם אשר נטמאתם בם ונקטתם בפניכם בכל רעותיכם אשר עשיתם׃

44.  וידעתם כי אני יהוה בעשותי אתכם למען שמי לא כדרכיכם הרעים וכעלילותיכם הנשחתות בית ישראל נאם אדני יהוה׃

45.  ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

46.  בן אדם שים פניך דרך תימנה והטף אל דרום והנבא אל יער השדה נגב׃

47.  ואמרת ליער הנגב שמע דבר יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני מצית בך אש ואכלה בך כל עץ לח וכל עץ יבש לא תכבה להבת שלהבת ונצרבו בה כל פנים מנגב צפונה׃

48.  וראו כל בשר כי אני יהוה בערתיה לא תכבה׃

49.  ואמר אהה אדני יהוה המה אמרים לי הלא ממשל משלים הוא׃
