[우리말성경]제15장

1.  온유한 대답은 진노를 가라앉히지만 과격한 말은 분노를 일으킨다.

2.  지혜로운 사람의 혀는 지식을 바르게 사용하지만 어리석은 사람의 입은 어리석음을 쏟아 낸다.

3.  여호와의 눈은 어디든지 있어 악인과 선인을 지켜보신다.

4.  따뜻한 말은 생명나무와 같지만 가시 돋힌 말은 영혼을 상하게 한다.

5.  어리석은 사람은 아버지의 훈계를 무시하지만 현명한 사람은 꾸지람을 받아들인다.

6.  의인의 집에는 재물이 많이 쌓이지만 악인의 소득은 고통을 가져온다.

7.  지혜로운 사람의 입술은 지식을 퍼뜨리지만 어리석은 사람의 마음은 그렇지 않다.

8.  악인의 제사는 여호와께서 싫어하시지만 정직한 사람의 기도는 기뻐하신다.

9.  악인의 길은 여호와께서 싫어하시지만 의를 따르는 사람들은 사랑하신다.

10.  옳은 길을 저버리는 사람에게는 엄한 징계가 있고 꾸지람을 싫어하는 사람은 죽게 될 것이다.

11.  지옥과 멸망도 여호와 앞에서 드러나는데 하물며 사람의 마음이야 더욱 그렇지 않겠느냐?

12.  거만한 사람은 자기를 꾸짖는 사람을 좋아하지 않으며 지혜로운 사람에게 가지도 않는다.

13.  행복한 마음은 얼굴에 환히 드러나지만 마음이 상하면 영혼도 상하게 마련이다.

14.  지각 있는 마음은 지식을 구하지만 어리석은 사람의 입은 어리석음을 즐긴다.

15.  고통받는 사람에게는 모든 날이 다 불행하지만 마음이 기쁜 사람에게는 매일이 잔칫날이다.

16.  재산이 부족한 듯해도 여호와를 경외하는 것이 큰 재물 때문에 고민하며 사는 것보다 낫다.

17.  사랑이 있는 곳에서 풀을 먹으며 사는 것이 서로 미워하면서 살진 송아지를 먹는 것보다 낫다.

18.  화를 쉽게 내는 사람은 다툼을 일으키지만 화를 천천히 내는 사람은 마음을 가라앉혀 준다.

19.  게으름뱅이의 길은 가시덤불로 막혀 있는 것 같지만 의인의 길은 평탄하다.

20.  지혜로운 아들은 아버지에게 기쁨을 선사하지만 어리석은 사람은 어머니를 무시한다.

21.  지혜를 멸시하는 사람은 어리석음을 기뻐하지만 지각있는 사람은 옳은 길로 걷는다.

22.  의견을 수렴하지 않으면 계획은 무산되지만 조언자가 많으면 그 일은 성공한다.

23.  적절한 대답은 사람을 기쁘게 하니 때맞춰 하는 말이 얼마나 좋은지!

24.  지혜로운 사람이 가는 생명의 길은 위쪽으로 나 있어서 그가 아래쪽에 있는 지옥의 길을 벗어나게 한다.

25.  교만한 사람의 집은 여호와께서 허무시지만 과부가 사는 곳의 경계선은 튼튼히 세워 주신다.

26.  악인의 생각은 여호와께서 싫어하시지만 순결한 사람의 말은 기뻐하신다.

27.  욕심 많은 사람은 집안에 문제를 일으키지만 뇌물을 거절하는 사람은 살게 될 것이다.

28.  의인은 대답할 때 깊이 생각하며 말하지만 악인의 입은 악한 것을 쏟아 낸다.

29.  여호와께서는 악인을 멀리하시지만 의인의 기도는 들으신다.

30.  밝은 얼굴은 사람을 기쁘게 하고 좋은 소식은 사람을 낫게 한다.

31.  생명을 살리는 꾸지람에 귀 기울이는 사람은 지혜로운 사람들 가운데 있다.

32.  훈계를 싫어하는 사람은 자기 영혼을 가볍게 여기지만 꾸지람을 듣는 사람은 깨달음을 얻는다.

33.  여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜 있는 훈계며 겸손함이 있어야 영광이 따른다.

1.  A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

2.  The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly.

3.  The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.

4.  A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.

5.  A fool rejects his father's discipline, But he who regards reproof is prudent.

6.  Much wealth is [in] the house of the righteous, But trouble is in the income of the wicked.

7.  The lips of the wise spread knowledge, But the hearts of fools are not so.

8.  The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

9.  The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But He loves him who pursues righteousness.

10.  Stern discipline is for him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof will die.

11.  Sheol and Abaddon [lie open] before the LORD, How much more the hearts of men!

12.  A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise.

13.  A joyful heart makes a cheerful face, But when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken.

14.  The mind of the intelligent seeks knowledge, But the mouth of fools feeds on folly.

15.  All the days of the afflicted are bad, But a cheerful heart [has] a continual feast.

16.  Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, Than great treasure and turmoil with it.

17.  Better is a dish of vegetables where love is, Than a fattened ox and hatred with it.

18.  A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, But the slow to anger pacifies contention.

19.  The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns, But the path of the upright is a highway.

20.  A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother.

21.  Folly is joy to him who lacks sense, But a man of understanding walks straight.

22.  Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed.

23.  A man has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

24.  The path of life [leads] upward for the wise, That he may keep away from Sheol below.

25.  The LORD will tear down the house of the proud, But He will establish the boundary of the widow.

26.  Evil plans are an abomination to the LORD, But pleasant words are pure.

27.  He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

28.  The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

29.  The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

30.  Bright eyes gladden the heart; Good news puts fat on the bones.

31.  He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof Will dwell among the wise.

32.  He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.

33.  The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor [comes] humility.

1.  מענה רך ישיב חמה ודבר עצב יעלה אף׃

2.  לשון חכמים תיטיב דעת ופי כסילים יביע אולת׃

3.  בכל מקום עיני יהוה צפות רעים וטובים׃

4.  מרפא לשון עץ חיים וסלף בה שבר ברוח׃

5.  אויל ינאץ מוסר אביו ושמר תוכחת יערם׃

6.  בית צדיק חסן רב ובתבואת רשע נעכרת׃

7.  שפתי חכמים יזרו דעת ולב כסילים לא כן׃

8.  זבח רשעים תועבת יהוה ותפלת ישרים רצונו׃

9.  תועבת יהוה דרך רשע ומרדף צדקה יאהב׃

10.  מוסר רע לעזב ארח שונא תוכחת ימות׃

11.  שאול ואבדון נגד יהוה אף כי לבות בני אדם׃

12.  לא יאהב לץ הוכח לו אל חכמים לא ילך׃

13.  לב שמח ייטב פנים ובעצבת לב רוח נכאה׃

14.  לב נבון יבקש דעת ופני כסילים ירעה אולת׃

15.  כל ימי עני רעים וטוב לב משתה תמיד׃

16.  טוב מעט ביראת יהוה מאוצר רב ומהומה בו׃

17.  טוב ארחת ירק ואהבה שם משור אבוס ושנאה בו׃

18.  איש חמה יגרה מדון וארך אפים ישקיט ריב׃

19.  דרך עצל כמשכת חדק וארח ישרים סללה׃

20.  בן חכם ישמח אב וכסיל אדם בוזה אמו׃

21.  אולת שמחה לחסר לב ואיש תבונה יישר לכת׃

22.  הפר מחשבות באין סוד וברב יועצים תקום׃

23.  שמחה לאיש במענה פיו ודבר בעתו מה טוב׃

24.  ארח חיים למעלה למשכיל למען סור משאול מטה׃

25.  בית גאים יסח יהוה ויצב גבול אלמנה׃

26.  תועבת יהוה מחשבות רע וטהרים אמרי נעם׃

27.  עכר ביתו בוצע בצע ושונא מתנת יחיה׃

28.  לב צדיק יהגה לענות ופי רשעים יביע רעות׃

29.  רחוק יהוה מרשעים ותפלת צדיקים ישמע׃

30.  מאור עינים ישמח לב שמועה טובה תדשן עצם׃

31.  אזן שמעת תוכחת חיים בקרב חכמים תלין׃

32.  פורע מוסר מואס נפשו ושומע תוכחת קונה לב׃

33.  יראת יהוה מוסר חכמה ולפני כבוד ענוה׃
