잠언8장 새번역 NIV 1 지혜가 부르고 있지 않느냐? 명철이 소리를 높이고 있지 않느냐? 1 Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? 2 지혜가 길가의 높은 곳과, 네거리에 자리를 잡고 서 있다. 2 On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; 3 마을 어귀 성문 곁에서, 여러 출입문에서 외친다. 3 beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud: 4 "사람들아, 내가 너희를 부른다. 내가 모두에게 소리를 높인다. 4 'To you, O men, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind. 5 어수룩한 사람들아, 너희는 명철을 배워라. 미련한 사람들아, 너희는 지혜를 배워라. 5 You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, gain understanding. 6 너희는 들어라. 나는 옳은 말만 하고, 내 입술로는 바른 말만 한다. 6 Listen, for I have worthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right. 7 내 입은 진실을 말하며, 내 입술은 악을 싫어한다. 7 My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness. 8 내가 하는 말은 모두 의로운 것뿐이며, 거기에는 비뚤어지거나 그릇된 것이 없다. 8 All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. 9 총명이 있는 사람은 이 모든 말을 옳게 여기고, 지식이 있는 사람은 이 모든 말을 바르게 여긴다. 9 To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge. 10 너희는 은을 받기보다는 내 훈계를 받고, 금을 선택하기보다는 지식을 선택하여라. 10 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, 11 참으로 지혜는 진주보다 좋으며, 네가 갖고 싶어하는 그 어떤 것도 이것과 비교할 수 없다." 11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 12 "나 지혜는 명철로 주소를 삼으며, 지식과 분별력을 가지고 있다. 12 'I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. 13 주님을 경외하는 것은 악을 미워하는 것이다. 나는 교만과 오만, 악한 행실과 거짓된 입을 미워한다. 13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. 14 내게는 지략과 건전한 지혜가 있으며, 명철과 능력이 있다. 14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power. 15 내 도움으로 왕들이 통치하며, 고관들도 올바른 법령을 내린다. 15 By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just; 16 내 도움으로 지도자들이 바르게 다스리고, 고관들 곧 공의로 재판하는 자들도 올바른 판결을 내린다. 16 by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth. 17 나는, 나를 사랑하는 사람을 사랑하며, 나를 간절히 찾는 사람을 만나 준다. 17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. 18 부귀와 영화도 내게 있으며, 든든한 재물과 의도 내게 있다. 18 With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity. 19 내가 맺어 주는 열매는 금이나 순금보다 좋고, 내가 거두어 주는 소출은 순은보다 좋다. 19 My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. 20 나는 의로운 길을 걸으며, 공의로운 길 한가운데를 걷는다. 20 I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice, 21 나를 사랑하는 사람에게는 내가 재물을 주어서, 그의 금고가 가득 차게 하여 줄 것이다. 21 bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full. 22 주님께서 일을 시작하시던 그 태초에, 주님께서 모든 것을 지으시기 전에, 이미 주님께서는 나를 데리고 계셨다. 22 'The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; 23 영원 전, 아득한 그 옛날, 땅도 생기기 전에, 나는 이미 세움을 받았다. 23 I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began. 24 아직 깊은 바다가 생기기도 전에, 물이 가득한 샘이 생기기도 전에, 나는 이미 태어났다. 24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth, when there were no springs abounding with water; 25 아직 산의 기초가 생기기 전에, 언덕이 생기기 전에, 나는 이미 태어났다. 25 before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth, 26 주님께서 아직 땅도 들도 만들지 않으시고, 세상의 첫 흙덩이도 만들지 않으신 때이다. 26 before he made the earth or its fields or any of the dust of the world. 27 주님께서 하늘을 제자리에 두시며, 깊은 바다 둘레에 경계선을 그으실 때에도, 내가 거기에 있었다. 27 I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, 28 주님께서 구름 떠도는 창공을 저 위 높이 달아매시고, 깊은 샘물을 솟구치게 하셨을 때에, 28 when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, 29 바다의 경계를 정하시고, 물이 그분의 명을 거스르지 못하게 하시고, 땅의 기초를 세우셨을 때에, 29 when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth. 30 나는 그분 곁에서 창조의 명공이 되어, 날마다 그분을 즐겁게 하여 드리고, 나 또한 그분 앞에서 늘 기뻐하였다. 30 Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, 31 그분이 지으신 땅을 즐거워하며, 그분이 지으신 사람들을 내 기쁨으로 삼았다. 31 rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind. 32 그러므로 아이들아, 이제 내 말을 들어라. 내 길을 따르는 사람이 복이 있다. 32 'Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 내 훈계를 들어서 지혜를 얻고, 그것을 무시하지 말아라. 33 Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it. 34 날마다 나의 문을 지켜 보며, 내 문설주 곁에 지키고 서서, 내 말을 듣는 사람은 복이 있다. 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. 35 나를 얻는 사람은 생명을 얻고, 주님께로부터 은총을 받을 것이다. 35 For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD. 36 그러나 나를 놓치는 사람은 자기 생명을 해치는 사람이며, 나를 미워하는 사람은 죽음을 사랑하는 사람이다." 36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.'
