1믿음이 강한 우리는 믿음이 약한 사람들의 약점을 돌보아 주어야 합니다. 우리는 자기에게 좋을 대로만 해서는 안 됩니다.		1We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.
2우리는 저마다 자기 이웃의 마음에 들게 행동하면서, 유익을 주고 덕을 세워야 합니다.		2Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
3그리스도께서도 자기에게 좋을 대로만 하지 않으셨습니다. 성경에 기록하기를 "주님을 비방하는 자들의 비방이 내게 떨어졌다" 한 것과 같습니다.		3For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: 'The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.'
4무엇이든지 전에 기록한 것은, 우리에게 교훈을 주려고 한 것이며, 성경이 주는 인내와 위로로써, 우리로 하여금 소망을 가지게 하려고 한 것입니다.		4For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
5인내심과 위로를 주시는 하나님께서, 여러분이 그리스도 예수를 본받아 같은 생각을 품게 하시고,		5May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
6한 마음과 한 입으로 하나님 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 해주시기를 빕니다.		6so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7그러므로 그리스도께서 하나님의 영광을 드러내시려고 여러분을 받아들이신 것과 같이, 여러분도 서로 받아들이십시오.		7Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
8내가 말하는 것은 이러합니다. 그리스도께서는 하나님의 진실하심을 드러내시려고 할례를 받은 사람의 종이 되셨으니, 그것은 하나님께서 조상에게 주신 약속들을 확증하시고,		8For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God's truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs
9이방 사람들도 긍휼히 여기심을 받아서, 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하시려고 한 것입니다. 기록된 바 "그러므로 내가 이방 사람들 가운데서 주님께 찬양을 드리며, 주님의 이름을 찬미합니다" 한 것과 같습니다.		9so that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: 'Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to your name.'
10또 "이방 사람들아, 주님의 백성과 함께 즐거워하여라" 하였으며,		10Again, it says, 'Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.'
11또 "모든 이방 사람들은 주님을 찬양하여라. 모든 백성들아, 주님을 찬양하여라" 하였습니다.		11And again, 'Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and sing praises to him, all you peoples.'
12그리고 이사야가 말하기를 "이새의 뿌리에서 싹이 나서 이방 사람을 다스릴 이가 일어날 것이니, 이방 사람은 그에게 소망을 둘 것이다" 하였습니다.		12And again, Isaiah says, 'The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will hope in him.'
13소망을 주시는 하나님께서, 믿음에서 오는 모든 기쁨과 평화를 여러분에게 충만하게 주셔서, 성령의 능력으로, 소망이 여러분에게 차고 넘치기를 바랍니다.		13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
14나의 형제자매 여러분, 나는, 여러분 마음에 선함이 가득하고, 온갖 지식이 넘쳐서, 서로 권면할 능력이 있음을 확신합니다.		14I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
15그러나 내가 몇 가지 점에 대해서 매우 담대하게 쓴 것은, 하나님께서 내게 주신 은혜를 힘입어서, 여러분의 기억을 새롭게 하려고 한 것입니다.		15I have written you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me
16하나님께서 이 은혜를 내게 주신 것은, 나로 하여금 이방 사람에게 보내심을 받은 그리스도 예수의 일꾼이 되게 하여, 하나님의 복음을 전하는 제사장의 직무를 수행하게 하시려는 것입니다. 그리하여 이방 사람들로 하여금 성령으로 거룩하게 되게 하여, 하나님께서 기쁨으로 받으실 제물이 되게 하시려는 것입니다.		16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17그러므로 나는 하나님을 섬기는 일을 그리스도 예수 안에서 자랑스럽게 생각합니다.		17Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.
18그리스도께서 이방 사람들을 복종하게 하시려고 나를 시켜서 이루어 놓으신 것 밖에는, 아무것도 감히 말하지 않겠습니다. 그 일은 말과 행동으로,		18I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done-
19표징과 이적의 능력으로, 성령의 권능으로 이루어졌습니다. 그래서 나는, 예루살렘에서 일루리곤에 이르기까지 두루 다니면서, 그리스도의 복음을 남김없이 전파하였습니다.		19by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
20나는 이와 같이, 그리스도의 이름이 알려진 곳 말고, 알려지지 않은 곳에서 복음을 전하는 것을 명예로 삼았습니다. 나는 남이 닦아 놓은 터 위에다가 집을 짓지 않으려 하였습니다.		20It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation.
21성경에 이렇게 기록한 바, "그의 일을 알지 못하던 사람들이 보게 될 것이요, 듣지 못하던 사람들이 깨닫게 될 것이다" 한 것과 같습니다.		21Rather, as it is written: 'Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.'
22그래서 내가 여러분에게로 가려고 하였으나, 여러 번 길이 막혔습니다.		22This is why I have often been hindered from coming to you.
23그러나 이제는 이 지역에서, 내가 일해야 할 곳이 더 없습니다. 여러 해 전부터 여러분에게로 가기를 바라고 있었으므로, 내가 스페인으로 갈 때에,		23But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to see you,
24지나가는 길에 여러분을 만나 보고, 잠시 동안만이라도 여러분과 먼저 기쁨을 나누려고 합니다. 그 다음에 여러분의 후원을 얻어, 그 곳으로 가게 되기를 바랍니다.		24I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.
25그러나 지금 나는 성도들을 돕는 일로 예루살렘에 갑니다.		25Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the saints there.
26마케도니아와 아가야 사람들이 기쁜 마음으로, 예루살렘에 사는 성도들 가운데 가난한 사람들에게 보낼 구제금을 마련하였기 때문입니다.		26For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
27그들은 기쁜 마음으로 그렇게 하였습니다. 그들은 정말로 예루살렘 성도들에게 빚을 진 사람들입니다. 이방 사람들은 그들에게서 신령한 복을 나누어 받았으니, 육신의 생활에 필요한 것으로 그들에게 봉사할 의무가 있습니다.		27They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.
28그러므로 나는 이 일을 마치고, 그들에게 이 열매를 확실하게 전해 준 뒤에, 여러분에게 들렀다가 스페인으로 가겠습니다.		28So after I have completed this task and have made sure that they have received this fruit, I will go to Spain and visit you on the way.
29내가 여러분에게 갈 때에, 그리스도의 충만한 복을 가지고 갈 것으로 압니다.		29I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.
30형제자매 여러분, 내가 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 힘입어서, 그리고 성령의 사랑을 힘입어서 여러분에게 부탁합니다. 나도 기도합니다만, 여러분도 나를 위하여 하나님께 열심으로 기도해 주십시오.		30I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
31내가 유대에 있는 믿지 않는 자들에게서 화를 당하지 않도록, 그리고 또 내가 예루살렘으로 가져가는 구제금이 그 곳 성도들에게 기쁘게 받아들여지도록 기도해 주십시오.		31Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there,
32그래서 내가 하나님의 뜻을 따라 기쁨을 안고 여러분에게로 가서, 여러분과 함께 즐겁게 쉴 수 있게 되도록 기도해 주십시오.		32so that by God's will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed.
33평화를 주시는 하나님께서 여러분 모두와 함께 하시기를 빕니다. 아멘.		33The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
