New Living Translation
Hosea’s Wife Is Redeemed
3 Then the Lord said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she[a] commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.[b]”

2 So I bought her back for fifteen pieces of silver[c] and five bushels of barley and a measure of wine.[d] 3 Then I said to her, “You must live in my house for many days and stop your prostitution. During this time, you will not have sexual relations with anyone, not even with me.[e]”

4 This shows that Israel will go a long time without a king or prince, and without sacrifices, sacred pillars, priests,[f] or even idols! 5 But afterward the people will return and devote themselves to the Lord their God and to David’s descendant, their king.[g] In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the Lord and of his goodness.

[호]3:1 여호와께서 내게 말씀하셨다. "너는 가서 네 아내를 다시 사랑해 주어라. 그녀에게는 다른 사랑하는 자가 있으며, 너에게 부정한 아내였다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성이 다른 신들을 섬기며 건포도 빵을 좋아하더라도 내가 그들을 사랑했듯이 너도 그녀를 사랑해야 한다."
[호]3:2 그래서 나는 은 열다섯 세겔과 보리 한 호멜 반 가량을 주고 고멜을 다시 데려왔다.
[호]3:3 그리고 고멜에게 "당신은 여러 날 동안, 나를 기다려야 하오. 창녀가 되지 말고 다른 남자의 연인도 되지 말아야 하오. 나도 당신을 기다리겠소" 하고 말했다.
[호]3:4 이와 같이 이스라엘도 여러 날 동안에 왕도 지도자도 없이, 희생 제물도 돌 기둥도 없이, 에봇이나 드라빔도 없이 살 것이다.
[호]3:5 그런 뒤에 이스라엘 백성은 돌아와 그들의 하나님 여호와를 찾고 다윗 왕을 따를 것이다. 마지막 날에 그들은 여호와께 나아올 것이며, 주께서 그들에게 복을 주실 것이다.
