47:1 그 사람이 나를 데리고 다시 성전 안뜰의 문으로 갔다. 거기서 내가 보니, 성전 본당의 정면은 동쪽을 향하고 있었는데, 그 성전 본당의 출입구 문지방 밑에서 물줄기가 솟아나와 동쪽으로 흘러내려가고 있었다. 그 물줄기는 동쪽을 향해서 흘러가다가, 성전 남쪽 곧 번제단 남쪽으로 흘러내려갔다.
47:2 나를 안내하던 그 사람이 또 나를 데리고 바깥뜰의 북문을 통과해서 성전 밖으로 나왔다. 그런 다음, 성전 담을 돌아서 성전 바깥의 동문 쪽으로 갔다. 거기서 내가 보니, 그 물줄기는 성전 동문의 남쪽에서 솟아나오고 있었다.
47:3 ○ 그때 그 사람이 줄자를 손에 잡고 동쪽으로 가면서 그 물줄기를 쟀다. 그렇게 1천 규빗을 재고 난 다음, 그 사람은 나더러 그 물을 건너보라고 하였다. 그래서 내가 건너보니, 물이 내 발목까지 차올랐다.
47:4 그 사람이 거기서 다시 동쪽으로 재면서 가다가 1천 규빗 되는 곳에 이르자, 나더러 그 물을 건너보라고 하였다. 그래서 내가 건너보니, 이제는 물이 내 무릎까지 올라왔다. 그 사람이 거기서 다시 1천 규빗을 잰 다음에 나더러 건너보게 했는데, 이제는 그 물이 내 허리까지 올라왔다.
47:5 그 사람이 거기서 다시 1천 규빗을 잰 다음에 나더러 건너보게 했는데, 이제는 내가 건널 수 없는 강이 되었다. 그 물이 많이 불어서, 이제 걸어서는 도저히 건널 수 없었고, 건너려면 헤엄을 쳐야 했다.
47:6 ○ 그때 그 사람이 내게 말했다. “너 사람아, 네가 이것을 똑똑히 보았느냐?” 그리고 그는 나를 데리고 강둑으로 돌아갔다.
47:7 내가 강둑으로 돌아와서 거기서 바라보니, 강의 좌우 양편 언덕에 나무들이 아주 많았다.
47:8 그 사람이 내게 일러주었다. “이 강물은 계속 동쪽으로 흘러 내려가다가 요단 계곡에 이르고, 거기서 또 계속 흘러 내려가서 사해에 이른다. 이 물이 1사해로 흘러 들어가게 되면, 사해의 죽은 물이 다시 살아나게 될 것이다.
47:9 이 강물이 흘러 들어가는 곳마다 모든 생물들이 무성하게 살아날 것이고, 온갖 물고기들도 심히 번성할 것이다. 그것은 이 강물이 사해로 흘러 들어가면, 그 바닷물이 살아날 것이기 때문이다. 그렇다! 정녕 이 강물이 흘러 들어가는 곳마다 모든 생명들이 힘차게 살아날 것이다.
47:10 또 그때에 어부들이 고기를 잡기 위해 강가를 따라 길게 늘어설 것이다. 어부들은 엔게디에서부터 에네글라임까지 어디서든 그물을 치고 고기를 잡을 것이다. 그 강물에 살고 있는 물고기의 종류도 많아서, 마치 큰 바다 지중해에 살고 있는 물고기의 종류처럼 심히 많을 것이다.
47:11 하지만 다시 살아난 사해의 바닷물과는 달리, 사해 주변의 늪지대와 물웅덩이는 살아나지 못하고 여전히 소금의 땅으로 남아있을 것이다.
47:12 그 강의 좌우 양쪽 언덕에는 온갖 종류의 과일 나무들이 무성하게 자랄 것이고, 그 잎사귀는 시들지 않고 아주 싱싱할 것이며, 과일은 끊이지 않고 주렁주렁 맺히되, 달마다 새로운 과일들이 탐스럽게 맺힐 것이다. 그런 까닭은, 그 강물이 성소에서부터 흘러나오기 때문이다. 그 과일들을 모두 먹을 수 있는 것들이고, 그 모든 잎사귀는 약재로 귀히 쓰일 것이다.”
47:13 ○ “나 주가 말한다. 너희가 이스라엘의 열두 지파에게 분배해 주어서, 그들로 자기들의 유산을 삼게 할 땅의 사방 경계선은 이러하다. 이때 요셉 지파에게는 두 몫을 주어야 한다.
47:14 이 땅은 옛적에 내가 너희 조상들에게 주겠다고 맹세하며 약속한 땅이다. 그러므로 이제 너희는 이 땅을 공평하게 분배하여 너희 소유로 삼으라. 이 땅이 너희의 유산이 될 것이다.
47:15 이 땅의 사방 경계선은 이러하다. 먼저, 북방 경계선은 지중해에서부터 시작하여 헤들론 길을 따라 스닷 어귀까지 이르고,
47:16 거기서 또 하맛과 브로다로 이어지고, 거기서 또 다메섹 경계와 하맛 경계 사이에 있는 시브라임으로 내려가다가, 거기서 또 하우란 경계 곁에 위치한 하셀핫디곤까지 이른다.
47:17 이와 같이 북방 경계선은 서쪽의 지중해에서부터 동쪽의 하살에논까지 이르는데, 북쪽으로는 하맛과 다메섹에 접경하고 있다. 이것이 북방 경계선이다.
47:18 다음으로, 동방 경계선은 하우란과 다메섹 사이에서부터 시작하여, 서쪽으로 굽어 길르앗과 이스라엘 땅 사이에 있는 요단 강까지 이르고, 거기서 또 요단 강을 따라 아래로 쭉 내려가다가 사해로 연결되고, 또 그 아래로 더 내려가 사해 남단에 있는 다말까지 이른다. 이것이 동방 경계선이다.
47:19 그 다음으로, 남방 경계선은 사해 남단의 다말에서부터 시작하여 서쪽 방향으로 므리봇가데스의 샘에 이르고, 거기서 또 이집트 시내를 거쳐 지중해까지 이른다. 이것이 남방 경계선이다.
47:20 마지막으로, 서방 경계선은 지중해다. 곧 남쪽의 경계가 끝나는 데서부터 북쪽의 경계가 시작되는 하맛 어귀까지다. 이것이 서방 경계선이다.”
47:21 ○ “그러므로 너희는 이 땅을 이스라엘 모든 지파에 따라 나누어 가져라.
47:22 너희가 각 지파별로 이 땅을 나누어 가지되, 너희는 물론이고, 너희 가운데 함께 살고 있는 외국 사람들, 곧 너희 가운데서 자녀를 낳고서 함께 살아가고 있는 외국 사람들에게도 그 땅을 유산으로 나누어 주어라. 너희는 그런 외국 사람들을 본토에서 태어난 이스라엘 족속과 똑같이 여기고, 그들도 너희와 함께 이스라엘 지파 중에서 유산으로 그들의 땅을 얻게 하되,
47:23 외국 사람들이 현재 정착하여 살고 있는 그 지파에서 그들에게 땅을 나누어 주도록 하여라. 이는 나 주 하나님의 말이다.”

1. Then he brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, water was flowing from under the threshold of the house toward the east, for the house faced east. And the water was flowing down from under, from the right side of the house, from south of the altar.
2. And he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate by way of [the gate] that faces east. And behold, water was trickling from the south side.
3. When the man went out toward the east with a line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he led me through the water, water [reaching] the ankles.
4. Again he measured a thousand and led me through the water, water [reaching] the knees. Again he measured a thousand and led me through [the water,] water [reaching] the loins.
5. Again he measured a thousand; [and it was] a river that I could not ford, for the water had risen, [enough] water to swim in, a river that could not be forded.
6. And he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen [this]?" Then he brought me back to the bank of the river.
7. Now when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river there [were] very many trees on the one side and on the other.
8. Then he said to me, "These waters go out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah; then they go toward the sea, being made to flow into the sea, and the waters [of the sea] become fresh.
9. "And it will come about that every living creature which swarms in every place where the river goes, will live. And there will be very many fish, for these waters go there, and [the others] become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.
10. "And it will come about that fishermen will stand beside it; from Engedi to Eneglaim there will be a place for the spreading of nets. Their fish will be according to their kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea, very many.
11. "But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt.
12. "And by the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all [kinds of] trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing."
13. Thus says the Lord GOD, "This [shall be] the boundary by which you shall divide the land for an inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph [shall have two] portions.
14. "And you shall divide it for an inheritance, each one equally with the other; for I swore to give it to your forefathers, and this land shall fall to you as an inheritance.
15. "And this [shall be] the boundary of the land: on the north side, from the Great Sea [by] the way of Hethlon, to the entrance of Zedad;
16. Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer-hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.
17. "And the boundary shall extend from the sea [to] Hazar-enan [at] the border of Damascus, and on the north toward the north is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.
18. "And the east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead, and the land of Israel, [shall be] the Jordan; from the [north] border to the eastern sea you shall measure. This is the east side.
19. "And the south side toward the south [shall extend] from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook [of Egypt, and] to the Great Sea. This is the south side toward the south.
20. "And the west side [shall be] the Great Sea, from the [south] border to a point opposite Lebo-hamath. This is the west side.
21. "So you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel.
22. "And it will come about that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among yourselves and among the aliens who stay in your midst, who bring forth sons in your midst. And they shall be to you as the native-born among the sons of Israel; they shall be allotted an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
23. "And it will come about that in the tribe with which the alien stays, there you shall give [him] his inheritance," declares the Lord GOD.
