1 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 "너는 이스라엘 자손에게 말하여라. 그들에게 이렇게 일러라.내가 주 너희의 하나님이다. 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'I am the LORD your God. 3 너희는 너희가 살던 이집트 땅의 풍속도 따르지 말고, 이제 내가 이끌고 갈 땅, 가나안의 풍속도 따르지 말아라. 너희는 그들의 규례를 따라 살지 말아라. 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4 그리고 너희는 내가 명한 법도를 따르고, 내가 세운 규례를 따라 살아라. 내가 주 너희의 하나님이다. 4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the LORD your God. 5 그러므로 너희는 내가 세운 규례와 내가 명한 법도를 지켜라. 어떤 사람이든 이것을 지키기만 하면, 그것으로 그 사람이 살 수 있다. 나는 주다. 5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. I am the LORD. 6 너희 가운데 어느 누구도 가까운 살붙이에게 접근하여 그 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 나는 주다. 6 " 'No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD. 7 너는 네 아버지의 몸이나 마찬가지인 네 어머니의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그는 네 어머니인 만큼, 너는 그의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 7 " 'Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her. 8 너는 네 아버지가 데리고 사는 여자의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자는 네 아버지의 몸이기 때문이다. 8 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your father's wife; that would dishonor your father. 9 너는 네 누이의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 네 아버지의 딸이든지 네 어머니의 딸이든지, 집에서 낳았든지 낳아서 데리고 왔든지, 그 여자의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 9 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere. 10 너는 네 아들이 낳은 딸이나, 네 딸이 낳은 딸의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그들의 몸은 네 자신의 몸이나 마찬가지이기 때문이다. 10 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; that would dishonor you. 11 너는 네 아버지가 데리고 사는 여자가 네 아버지와 관계하여 낳은 딸의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 딸은 바로 네 누이이기 때문이다. 11 " 'Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father; she is your sister. 12 너는 네 아버지의 누이 곧 고모의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자는 네 아버지의 가까운 살붙이이기 때문이다. 12 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your father's sister; she is your father's close relative. 13 너는 네 어머니의 형제 곧 이모의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자는 네 어머니의 가까운 살붙이이기 때문이다. 13 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your mother's sister, because she is your mother's close relative. 14 너는 네 아버지의 형제 곧 네 삼촌이 데리고 사는 여자에게 가까이하여 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자를 범하는 것은 곧 네 삼촌의 몸을 부끄럽게 하는 것이기 때문이다. 그 여자는 네 숙모이다. 14 " 'Do not dishonor your father's brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt. 15 너는 네 며느리의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자는 네 아들의 아내이기 때문이다. 그러므로 너는 그 여자의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 15 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; do not have relations with her. 16 너는 네 형제의 아내 곧 형수나 제수의 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자는 네 형제의 몸이기 때문이다. 16 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your brother's wife; that would dishonor your brother. 17 너는 한 여자를 데리고 살면서, 그 여자의 딸의 몸을 아울러 범하면 안 된다. 너는 또한 그 여자의 친손녀나 외손녀를 아울러 데려다가 그 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 그 여자의 딸이나 손녀들은 바로 그의 살붙이이기 때문이다. 그들을 범하는 일은 악한 일이다. 17 " 'Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness. 18 너는 네 아내가 살아 있는 동안에는, 네 아내의 형제를 첩으로 데려다가 그 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 18 " 'Do not take your wife's sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living. 19 너는, 여자가 월경을 하고 있어서 몸이 불결한 기간에는, 여자에게 가까이하여 그 몸을 범하면 안 된다. 19 " 'Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period. 20 너는 이웃의 아내와 동침하여 정액을 쏟아서는 안 된다. 그 여자와 간통하면 네가 더럽게 되기 때문이다. 20 " 'Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor's wife and defile yourself with her. 21 너는 네 자식들을 몰렉에게 희생제물로 바치면 안 된다. 그렇게 하는 것은 네 하나님의 이름을 더럽게 하는 일이다. 나는 주다. 21 " 'Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD. 22 너는 여자와 교합하듯 남자와 교합하면 안 된다. 그것은 망측한 짓이다. 22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. 23 너는 어떤 종류의 짐승과도 교접하면 안 된다. 그렇게 하는 것은 네 자신을 더럽게 하는 일이다. 여자들도 또한 어떤 짐승하고든 교접하면 안 된다. 그렇게 하는 것은 성을 문란하게 하는 행위이다. 23 " 'Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. 24 위에서 말한 것 가운데 어느 하나라도 저지르면, 이것은 너희가 스스로를 더럽히는 일이니, 그런 일이 없도록 하여라. 내가 너희 앞에서 쫓아낼 민족들이, 바로 그런 짓들을 하다가 스스로 자신을 더럽혔다. 24 " 'Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 따라서 그들이 사는 땅까지 더럽게 되었다. 그러므로 나는 그 악한 땅을 벌하였고, 그 땅은 그 거주자들을 토해 내게 되었다. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 너희는 모두 내가 세운 규례와 내가 명한 법도를 잘 지켜서, 온갖 역겨운 짓 가운데, 어느 하나라도 범하지 않도록 하여라. 본토 사람이나 너희와 함께 사는 외국 사람이나 다 마찬가지이다. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the aliens living among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 너희보다 앞서 그 땅에서 살던 사람들은, 이 역겨운 모든 짓을 하여, 그 땅을 더럽히고 말았다. 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 너희가 그 땅을 더럽히면, 마치, 너희보다 앞서 그 땅에 살던 민족을 그 땅이 토해 냈듯이, 너희를 토해 낼 것이다. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. 29 누구든지 위에서 말한 역겨운 짓 가운데 어느 하나라도 범하면, 백성은 그런 짓을 한 그 사람과는 관계를 끊어야 한다. 29 " 'Everyone who does any of these detestable things-such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 그러므로 너희는, 내가 지키라고 한 것을 꼭 지켜서, 너희보다 앞서 그 곳에 살던 사람들이 저지른 역겨운 풍습 가운데 어느 하나라도 따라가는 일이 없도록 하여라. 그런 짓들을 하여, 너희가 스스로를 더럽히는 일이 없도록 하여라. 내가 주 너희의 하나님이다." 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the LORD your God.' "
