우리는 하나님의 교회가 증언 한 대로 감동을 받아 성경에 대하여 가장 최고의 경의를 표한다. 내용의 신성함, 교리적인 실현성, 문체의 장엄성, 내용의 일관성과 주제의 포괄성 등은 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 한다. 성경이 인간을 구원하는 유일한 방법이라는 완전한 증거, 그밖에 다른 것과 비교할 수 없는 탁월성, 그리고 그것이 전체적인 완전성들은 성경이 스스로 하나님의 말씀이라는 것을 충분히 증거하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 성경이 신적인 권위를 지닌 오류 없는 진리라고 완전하게 확신할 수 있는 것은 (요 16:13-14, 고전 2:10-13, 요일 2:20,27) 우리의 마음속에서 말씀과 함께, 또한 말씀에 의해서 증거를 주시는 성령의 내적 사역으로부터 온다.
