제 2항 모든 생명 (요 5:26)과 영광 (시 148:13)과 선 (시 119:68)과 축복을 홀로 가지고 계신 하나님은 자신 안에 있어서나, 자신에 대해서나 자족하신 분이시다. 그는 자신이 창조한 피조물의 어떤 도움도 필요하지 않으시며 (욥 22:2,3) 그들로부터 어떤 영광도 취하지 않으시고 오직 피조물 안에서, 피조물에 대하여, 피조물에게, 그리고 피조물 위에 자신의 영광을 나타내신다. 그분께서는 모든 존재의 유일한 근원이시다. 모든 것들은 그를 통해서 그를 향해서 존재하고 있다. (롬 11:34-36) 그는 모든 피조물에 대해 주권적인 통치권을 가지고 있다. (단 4:25,34,35) 모든 것들은 무엇이든지 그가 기뻐하시는 대로 그의 앞에서 노출되고 드러난다. (히 4:13) 그의 지식은 무한하고 피조물에 의존하지 않는다.
