모세가 부른 노래

1.  “하늘이여, 들으라. 내가 말할 것이다. 땅이여, 내 입의 말을 들으라.

2.  내 가르침이 비같이 내리고 내 말이 이슬처럼 맺힐 것이며 새싹이 돋아나는 들녘에 내리는 이슬비 같고 채소밭에 내리는 많은 비 같을 것이다.

3.  내가 여호와의 이름을 부르리니 우리 하나님 여호와의 위대함을 찬양하라!

4.  그분은 반석이시니 그분이 하시는 일은 완벽하고 그분의 모든 길은 올바르다. 잘못하시는 일이 없으신 신실하신 하나님은 의로우시고 정직하시다.

5.  그들은 그분께 악한 짓을 저질렀으며 수치스럽게도 그들은 더 이상 그분의 자녀가 아니고 비뚤어지고 그릇된 세대다.

6.  어리석고 지혜 없는 백성들아, 너희가 여호와께 보답하는 게 이것이냐? 너희를 만들고 지으신 분이 너희 창조자이신 너희 아버지가 아니냐?

7.  옛날을 기억하라. 오래전 세대들을 생각해 보라. 너희 아버지에게 물어보라. 그가 말해 줄 것이다. 너희 장로들에게 여쭤 보라. 그들이 설명해 줄 것이다.

8.  지극히 높으신 분이 그 땅들을 기업으로 나누어 주실 때, 그분이 온 인류를 여기저기로 흩으실 때 그분은 이스라엘 아들들의 수에 따라 그 민족들의 경계선을 정해 주셨다.

9.  여호와의 몫은 그분의 백성들이고 야곱이 그분께서 택하신 기업인 것이다.

10.  광야에 있을 때 그분께서 황무하고 짐승의 소리가 들리는 데서 야곱을 발견하셨다. 그분이 야곱을 방어해 주시고 그를 보살펴 주셨다. 여호와께서 그를 그분의 눈동자처럼 지키셨다.

11.  그 사랑의 모습은 마치 독수리가 자기 둥지를 어지럽히고 자기 새끼 위를 맴돌다가 그 날개를 펴서 새끼들을 잡아 날개 끝에 얹는 것 같다.

12.  여호와께서 홀로 야곱을 이끄셨으니 다른 어떤 이방 신이 그와 함께하지 않았다.

13.  그분은 야곱이 그 땅 높은 곳을 타고 다니게 하셨고 들판의 열매로 그를 먹이셨다. 그분은 바위에서 꿀을 내어, 딱딱한 바위틈에서 기름을 내어 그에게 힘을 북돋우셨다.

14.  소와 양에서 나온 버터와 우유로, 살진 어린 양들과 염소들로, 가장 좋은 바산의 숫양으로, 가장 좋은 밀가루 반죽으로 그에게 힘을 북돋우셨다. 너희는 거품이 나는 붉은 포도즙을 마셨다.

15.  여수룬은 살이 찌자 발로 찼다. 네가 살찌고 뚱뚱해지고 기름으로 덮이니 자기를 만드신 하나님을 저버리고 구원자이신 반석을 거부했다.

16.  그들은 이방 신들로 그분을 질투하시게 했으며 그 가증스러운 우상들로 진노하시게 했다.

17.  그들은 하나님이 아닌 마귀들에게 희생제물을 바쳤다. 그들이 알지 못했던 신들, 나타난 지 얼마 안 된 신들, 너희 조상들이 두려워하지 않던 신들에게 말이다.

18.  너희는 너희 아버지가 되신 반석을 버렸고 너희는 너희를 낳아 주신 하나님을 잊어버렸다.

19.  여호와께서 이것을 보시고 그들을 저버리셨다. 이는 그 아들들과 딸들이 그를 진노하게 했기 때문이다.

20.  그분이 말씀하셨다. ‘내가 내 얼굴을 그들에게서 숨기고 그들의 끝이 어떠한지 볼 것이다. 그들은 타락한 세대고 믿음이 없는 자녀다.

21.  그들은 신이 아닌 것에 나로 하여금 질투하게 했고 그 쓸모없는 우상들로 나를 진노하게 했다. 나도 백성이 아닌 자들로 그들에게 질투를 일으키며 어리석은 민족으로 그들에게 진노를 일으킬 것이다.

22.  내 진노에 불이 붙었으니 저 아래 죽음의 왕국까지 내려갈 것이다. 그것은 땅과 그 수확물을 삼키고 산 밑 깊숙한 곳까지 불을 지를 것이다.

23.  내가 그들에게 재난을 쌓고 내 화살들을 그들을 향해 쏠 것이다.

24.  내가 그들에게 파괴적인 굶주림을 보내고 진멸하는 페스트와 죽음의 전염병을 보낼 것이다. 내가 그들을 향해 들짐승의 송곳니를 보내고 흙 위를 미끄러져 가는 독사들의 독을 보낼 것이다.

25.  밖으로는 칼이, 안으로는 공포가 젊은 남녀를 멸할 것이며 머리가 희끗한 노인과 젖을 먹는 아이에게도 그렇게 할 것이다.

26.  ‘내가 그들을 쫓아내고 그들에 대한 기억을 인류에게서 끊어지게 할 것이다’ 했으나

27.  원수가 조롱해 댈까 두려워했다. 그 적들이 왜곡해 ‘우리 손으로 승리했다. 여호와가 이 모든 일을 한 게 아니다’ 할까 걱정이로구나.

28.  그들은 분별력 없는 민족이며 그들에게는 판단력이 없다.

29.  그들이 현명해 이것을 이해하고 그들의 마지막이 어떨지 분간했다면 좋았을 것을!

30.  그들의 반석이 그들을 팔아 버리지 않았던들, 여호와께서 그들을 버리지 않으셨던들 한 사람이 어떻게 1,000명을 쫓아가고 두 사람이 어떻게 1만명을 도망치게 하겠느냐?

31.  그들의 반석이 우리의 반석과 같지 않음은 우리 적들도 인정하는 바다.

32.  그들의 포도나무는 소돔의 포도나무에서 나왔고 고모라의 포도나무에서 나왔다. 그들의 포도는 독으로 가득 찼고 그들의 포도송이는 쓴맛으로 가득 찼다.

33.  그들의 포도주는 용의 독이고 독사들의 무서운 독이다.

34.  ‘내가 이것을 보관하고 내 창고에 봉인해 두지 않았느냐?

35.  복수하는 것은 내 일이다. 내가 갚아 줄 것이다. 때가 되면 그들의 발이 미끄러질 것이다. 그들의 재앙의 날이 가까이 왔고 그들의 멸망이 그들 앞에 갑자기 닥쳐올 것이다.’

36.  그들의 힘이 사라지고 종이든 자유인이든 아무도 남지 않은 것을 보고 여호와께서 그 백성들을 심판하시고 그 종들을 긍휼히 여기실 것이다.

37.  그분이 말씀하실 것이다. ‘지금 그들의 신들이, 그들이 피신처로 삼은 바위가 어디 있느냐?

38.  그들의 희생제물의 기름을 먹고 그들의 전제물인 포도주를 마신 그 신들 말이다. 그들이 일어나 너희를 돕게 하라. 그들이 너희에게 피난처를 주게 하라.

39.  이제 내가 바로 그임을 보라. 나 외에는 다른 신이 없다. 내가 죽이기도 하고 살리기도 하는 것이다. 내가 상하게도 하고 낫게도 하는 것이다. 아무도 내 손에서 건져 낼 자가 없다.

40.  내가 내 손을 하늘로 들어 올리고 선포한다. 내가 영원히 살 것이다.

41.  내가 내 번쩍이는 칼을 날카롭게 갈고 심판 때 내 손이 그 칼을 잡을 때 내가 내 원수들에게 앙갚음하고 나를 미워하는 자들에게 복수할 것이다.

42.  내 화살들이 피로 가득하겠고 내 칼이 살해된 자와 잡힌 자들의 피와 함께 육체를 삼킬 것이니 곧 대적의 머리다.’

43.  민족들아, 그분의 백성들과 함께 즐거워하라. 그분이 그분의 종들의 피에 보복해 주실 것이다. 그분이 원수들에게 복수하시고 그분의 땅과 백성들이 지은 죄를 구속해 주실 것이다.”

44.  모세는 눈의 아들 여호수아와 함께 나아와 백성들이 듣는 데서 이 모든 노래로 말씀을 선언했습니다.

45.  모세는 이 모든 말씀을 온 이스라엘에 다 낭송한 후에

46.  그들에게 말했습니다. “내가 오늘 너희에게 진지하게 선포한 이 모든 말씀을 마음에 새겨서 너희가 너희 자녀들에게 명령해 삼가 이 모든 율법의 말씀을 지키게 하라.

47.  가르침은 너희에게 그저 헛된 말씀이 아니라 너희의 생명이다. 이 말씀으로 인해 너희는 너희가 요단 강을 건너 차지할 그 땅에서 오래도록 살게 될 것이다.”

모세가 느보 산에서 죽음

48.  바로 같은 날 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하셨습니다.

49.  “일어나 아바림 산맥으로 들어가 여리고 건너편 모압의 느보 산으로 가서 내가 이스라엘 백성들에게 그 소유물로 주는 땅 가나안을 바라보아라.

50.  네 형 아론이 호르 산에서 죽어 네 선조들에게로 돌아간 것같이 네가 올라가는 산에서 죽어 네 선조들에게로 돌아갈 것이다.

51.  이는 너희가 신 광야의 므리바 가데스 물가에서 이스라엘 백성들이 보는 앞에서 내게 신의를 저버렸고 너희가 이스라엘 백성들 가운데 내 거룩함을 나타내지 않았기 때문이다.

52.  그러므로 너는 네 앞에 있는 땅을 볼 수는 있겠으나 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 그 땅에 들어가지는 못할 것이다.”

[NIV]제32장

1.  Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2.  Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

3.  I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

4.  He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

5.  They have acted corruptly toward him; to their shame they are no longer his children, but a warped and crooked generation.

6.  Is this the way you repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?

7.  Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.

8.  When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel.

9.  For the LORD's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance.

10.  In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,

11.  like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them on its pinions.

12.  The LORD alone led him; no foreign god was with him.

13.  He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him with the fruit of the fields. He nourished him with honey from the rock, and with oil from the flinty crag,

14.  with curds and milk from herd and flock and with fattened lambs and goats, with choice rams of Bashan and the finest kernels of wheat. You drank the foaming blood of the grape.

15.  Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; filled with food, he became heavy and sleek. He abandoned the God who made him and rejected the Rock his Savior.

16.  They made him jealous with their foreign gods and angered him with their detestable idols.

17.  They sacrificed to demons, which are not God -- gods they had not known, gods that recently appeared, gods your fathers did not fear.

18.  You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth.

19.  The LORD saw this and rejected them because he was angered by his sons and daughters.

20.  "I will hide my face from them," he said, "and see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, children who are unfaithful.

21.  They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.

22.  For a fire has been kindled by my wrath, one that burns to the realm of death below. It will devour the earth and its harvests and set afire the foundations of the mountains.

23.  "I will heap calamities upon them and spend my arrows against them.

24.  I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

25.  In the street the sword will make them childless; in their homes terror will reign. Young men and young women will perish, infants and gray-haired men.

26.  I said I would scatter them and blot out their memory from mankind,

27.  but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy, lest the adversary misunderstand and say, `Our hand has triumphed; the LORD has not done all this.'"

28.  They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them.

29.  If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!

30.  How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?

31.  For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

32.  Their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are filled with poison, and their clusters with bitterness.

33.  Their wine is the venom of serpents, the deadly poison of cobras.

34.  "Have I not kept this in reserve and sealed it in my vaults?

35.  It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them."

36.  The LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.

37.  He will say: "Now where are their gods, the rock they took refuge in,

38.  the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up to help you! Let them give you shelter!

39.  "See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.

40.  I lift my hand to heaven and declare: As surely as I live forever,

41.  when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.

42.  I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders."

43.  Rejoice, O nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants; he will take vengeance on his enemies and make atonement for his land and people.

44.  Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people.

45.  When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel,

46.  he said to them, "Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.

47.  They are not just idle words for you -- they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess."

48.  On that same day the LORD told Moses,

49.  "Go up into the Abarim Range to Mount Nebo in Moab, across from Jericho, and view Canaan, the land I am giving the Israelites as their own possession.

50.  There on the mountain that you have climbed you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount Hor and was gathered to his people.

51.  This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites.

52.  Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel."

1.  האזינו השמים ואדברה ותשמע הארץ אמרי פי׃

2.  יערף כמטר לקחי תזל כטל אמרתי כשעירם עלי דשא וכרביבים עלי עשב׃

3.  כי שם יהוה אקרא הבו גדל לאלהינו׃

4.  הצור תמים פעלו כי כל דרכיו משפט אל אמונה ואין עול צדיק וישר הוא׃

5.  שחת לו לא בניו מומם דור עקש ופתלתל׃

6.  ה ליהוה תגמלו זאת עם נבל ולא חכם הלוא הוא אביך קנך הוא עשך ויכננך׃

7.  זכר ימות עולם בינו שנות דור ודור שאל אביך ויגדך זקניך ויאמרו לך׃

8.  בהנחל עליון גוים בהפרידו בני אדם יצב גבלת עמים למספר בני ישראל׃

9.  כי חלק יהוה עמו יעקב חבל נחלתו׃

10.  ימצאהו בארץ מדבר ובתהו ילל ישמן יסבבנהו יבוננהו יצרנהו כאישון עינו׃

11.  כנשר יעיר קנו על גוזליו ירחף יפרש כנפיו יקחהו ישאהו על אברתו׃

12.  יהוה בדד ינחנו ואין עמו אל נכר׃

13.  ירכבהו על במותי ארץ ויאכל תנובת שדי וינקהו דבש מסלע ושמן מחלמיש צור׃

14.  חמאת בקר וחלב צאן עם חלב כרים ואילים בני בשן ועתודים עם חלב כליות חטה ודם ענב תשתה חמר׃

15.  וישמן ישרון ויבעט שמנת עבית כשית ויטש אלוה עשהו וינבל צור ישעתו׃

16.  יקנאהו בזרים בתועבת יכעיסהו׃

17.  יזבחו לשדים לא אלה אלהים לא ידעום חדשים מקרב באו לא שערום אבתיכם׃

18.  צור ילדך תשי ותשכח אל מחללך׃

19.  וירא יהוה וינאץ מכעס בניו ובנתיו׃

20.  ויאמר אסתירה פני מהם אראה מה אחריתם כי דור תהפכת המה בנים לא אמן בם׃

21.  הם קנאוני בלא אל כעסוני בהבליהם ואני אקניאם בלא עם בגוי נבל אכעיסם׃

22.  כי אש קדחה באפי ותיקד עד שאול תחתית ותאכל ארץ ויבלה ותלהט מוסדי הרים׃

23.  אספה עלימו רעות חצי אכלה בם׃

24.  מזי רעב ולחמי רשף וקטב מרירי ושן בהמות אשלח בם עם חמת זחלי עפר׃

25.  מחוץ תשכל חרב ומחדרים אימה גם בחור גם בתולה יונק עם איש שיבה׃

26.  אמרתי אפאיהם אשביתה מאנוש זכרם׃

27.  לולי כעס אויב אגור פן ינכרו צרימו פן יאמרו ידינו רמה ולא יהוה פעל כל זאת׃

28.  כי גוי אבד עצות המה ואין בהם תבונה׃

29.  לו חכמו ישכילו זאת יבינו לאחריתם׃

30.  איכה ירדף אחד אלף ושנים יניסו רבבה אם לא כי צורם מכרם ויהוה הסגירם׃

31.  כי לא כצורנו צורם ואיבינו פלילים׃

32.  כי מגפן סדם גפנם ומשדמת עמרה ענבמו ענבי רוש אשכלת מררת למו׃

33.  חמת תנינם יינם וראש פתנים אכזר׃

34.  הלא הוא כמס עמדי חתם באוצרתי׃

35.  לי נקם ושלם לעת תמוט רגלם כי קרוב יום אידם וחש עתדת למו׃

36.  כי ידין יהוה עמו ועל עבדיו יתנחם כי יראה כי אזלת יד ואפס עצור ועזוב׃

37.  ואמר אי אלהימו צור חסיו בו׃

38.  אשר חלב זבחימו יאכלו ישתו יין נסיכם יקומו ויעזרכם יהי עליכם סתרה׃

39.  ראו עתה כי אני אני הוא ואין אלהים עמדי אני אמית ואחיה מחצתי ואני ארפא ואין מידי מציל׃

40.  כי אשא אל שמים ידי ואמרתי חי אנכי לעלם׃

41.  אם שנותי ברק חרבי ותאחז במשפט ידי אשיב נקם לצרי ולמשנאי אשלם׃

42.  אשכיר חצי מדם וחרבי תאכל בשר מדם חלל ושביה מראש פרעות אויב׃

43.  הרנינו גוים עמו כי דם עבדיו יקום ונקם ישיב לצריו וכפר אדמתו עמו׃

44.  ויבא משה וידבר את כל דברי השירה הזאת באזני העם הוא והושע בן נון׃

45.  ויכל משה לדבר את כל הדברים האלה אל כל ישראל׃

46.  ויאמר אלהם שימו לבבכם לכל הדברים אשר אנכי מעיד בכם היום אשר תצום את בניכם לשמר לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת׃

47.  כי לא דבר רק הוא מכם כי הוא חייכם ובדבר הזה תאריכו ימים על האדמה אשר אתם עברים את הירדן שמה לרשתה׃

48.  וידבר יהוה אל משה בעצם היום הזה לאמר׃

49.  עלה אל הר העברים הזה הר נבו אשר בארץ מואב אשר על פני ירחו וראה את ארץ כנען אשר אני נתן לבני ישראל לאחזה׃

50.  ומת בהר אשר אתה עלה שמה והאסף אל עמיך כאשר מת אהרן אחיך בהר ההר ויאסף אל עמיו׃

51.  על אשר מעלתם בי בתוך בני ישראל במי מריבת קדש מדבר צן על אשר לא קדשתם אותי בתוך בני ישראל׃

52.  כי מנגד תראה את הארץ ושמה לא תבוא אל הארץ אשר אני נתן לבני ישראל׃
