순종할 때 받는 복

1.  “만약 네가 네 하나님 여호와께 온전히 순종하고 삼가 내가 오늘 네게 주는 그분의 모든 명령들을 따르면 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 세상의 모든 민족들보다 높이 세우실 것이다.

2.  만약 네가 네 하나님 여호와께 순종하면 이 모든 복이 너와 함께하고 너를 찾아올 것이다.

3.  너는 성안에서 복을 받고 들판에서도 복을 받을 것이다.

4.  네 몸에서 나는 것이 복을 받을 것이며 네 땅에서 나는 것과 네 가축의 새끼, 곧 소들의 새끼인 송아지들과 양들의 새끼인 어린 양들이 복을 받을 것이다.

5.  네 바구니와 네 반죽 그릇이 복을 받을 것이다.

6.  네가 들어와도 복을 받고 나가도 복을 받을 것이다.

7.  여호와께서 네게 대항해 들고 일어나는 원수들이 네 앞에서 얻어맞게 하실 것이다. 그들이 한 길로 왔다가 네 앞에서 일곱 길로 도망할 것이다.

8.  여호와께서 네 창고와 네 손이 닿는 모든 것에 복을 보내실 것이며 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 그 땅에서 네게 복 주실 것이다.

9.  네가 네 하나님 여호와의 명령들을 지키고 그분의 길로 걸으면 여호와께서 네게 맹세하신 대로 너를 그분의 거룩한 백성으로 세우실 것이다.

10.  그러면 세상의 모든 민족들이 네가 여호와의 이름으로 불리는 것을 보고 너를 두려워할 것이다.

11.  여호와께서 네 조상들에게 네게 주겠다고 맹세하신 그 땅에서 네 몸에서 나는 것, 네 가축의 새끼들, 네 땅에서 거둬들인 것이 풍요롭고도 풍성하게 하실 것이다.

12.  여호와께서 하늘에 있는 그분의 은혜의 창고를 열어 네 땅에 때마다 비를 보내시고 네 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복 주실 것이다. 네가 여러 민족들에게 꾸어 주고 누구에게도 꾸는 일이 없을 것이다.

13.  여호와께서 너를 머리가 되게 하시고 꼬리가 되지 않게 하실 것이다. 만약 오늘 내가 주는 네 하나님 여호와의 명령들에 네가 귀 기울이고 삼가 지키면 너는 항상 위에만 있고 결코 아래에 있지 않을 것이다.

14.  내가 오늘 네게 주는 그 명령들 가운데 어느 것이라도 오른쪽이나 왼쪽으로 치우치지 말고 다른 신들을 따르고 섬기는 일이 없도록 하여라.”

불순종할 때 받는 저주

15.  “그러나 만약 네가 네 하나님 여호와께 순종하지 않고 내가 오늘 네게 주는 그분의 모든 명령과 규례를 삼가 따르지 않으면 이 모든 저주들이 네게 닥쳐 너를 덮칠 것이다.

16.  너는 성안에 있어도 저주를 받고 들판에 있어도 저주를 받을 것이다.

17.  네 바구니와 네 반죽 그릇이 저주를 받을 것이다.

18.  네 몸에서 나는 것이 저주를 받고 네 땅의 수확물과 네 소들 가운데 송아지와 네 양들 가운데 어린 양들이 저주를 받을 것이다.

19.  너는 들어가도 저주를 받고 나가도 저주를 받을 것이다.

20.  네가 그분을 버린 그 악으로 인해 여호와께서 네가 손을 대는 모든 일에 저주와 괴로움과 질책을 보내 네가 멸망하고 갑작스런 파멸에 이르게 하실 것이다.

21.  여호와께서 네게 전염병을 보내 네가 들어가 차지하게 되는 그 땅에서 너의 모든 것을 다 멸망하게 하실 것이다.

22.  여호와께서 너를 몸이 피폐해지는 질병으로, 열병과 염증과 무더위와 가뭄과 식물을 시들게 하고 썩게 하는 병으로 네가 멸망할 때까지 치실 것이며 그것들은 네가 패망할 때까지 너를 쫓을 것이다.

23.  네 머리 위의 하늘은 청동이 되고 네 아래에 있는 땅은 철이 될 것이다.

24.  여호와께서 네 나라에 비 대신 모래흙과 먼지를 보내실 것이다. 그것은 하늘에서 내려와 너를 멸망시킬 것이다.

25.  여호와께서 네가 네 원수들 앞에서 패배하게 하시리니 너는 그들에게 대적하기 위해 한 길로 왔다가 일곱 길로 도망칠 것이고 너는 세상의 모든 나라들에게 미움의 대상이 될 것이다.

26.  네 시체는 공중의 새들인 날짐승과 땅의 짐승들의 먹이가 될 것이며 아무도 그 짐승들을 쫓아낼 사람이 없을 것이다.

27.  여호와께서 네게 이집트의 종기와 치질과 괴혈병과 가려움증으로 너를 치실 것이고 너는 병이 나을 수 없을 것이다.

28.  여호와께서 정신병과 눈머는 것과 정신착란증으로 너를 치실 것이다.

29.  정오에 네가 어둠 속에 다니는 눈먼 사람처럼 더듬고 다닐 것이며 네가 하는 모든 일에 번성하지 못할 것이다. 날마다 너는 학대받고 약탈만 당하겠으나 아무도 너를 구해 줄 자가 없을 것이다.

30.  네가 한 여자와 약혼하겠으나 다른 사람이 와서 그 여자와 자게 될 것이며 네가 집을 지을지라도 네가 거기에서 살지 못할 것이다. 네가 포도밭을 일구겠지만 그 포도를 먹을 수는 없을 것이다.

31.  네 소를 네 눈앞에서 잡더라도 그 고기를 하나도 먹지 못할 것이며 네가 네 나귀를 강제로 빼앗기고 돌려받지 못할 것이다. 네 양들이 네 원수들에게로 넘어가겠지만 아무도 그 양들을 구해 주지 않을 것이다.

32.  네 아들딸들이 다른 민족에게로 넘어가겠고 너는 날마다 눈이 흐려지고 손에 힘이 빠질 것이다.

33.  네가 알지 못하는 한 민족이 네 땅의 열매와 수고로 거두는 것을 먹겠고 너는 오직 평생을 압제와 잔혹한 학대만 받을 것이다.

34.  네가 보는 광경이 너를 미치게 할 것이다.

35.  여호와께서 네 무릎과 다리에 고칠 수 없는 고통스러운 종기를 주셔서 그 종기가 네 발에서부터 머리끝까지 번지게 하실 것이다.

36.  여호와께서 너와 네 위에 세워진 왕을 너와 네 조상들이 알지 못하는 민족에게 끌고 가실 것이다. 너는 거기서 나무와 돌로 만든 다른 신들을 숭배할 것이다.

37.  너는 여호와께서 너를 끌고 가실 그 모든 민족들에게 미움의 대상이 되고 조롱거리와 비웃음거리가 될 것이다.

38.  네가 밭에 씨를 많이 심어도 추수하는 것은 적으리니 이는 메뚜기 떼가 다 갉아먹을 것이기 때문이다.

39.  네가 포도나무를 심고 갈더라도 너는 포도주를 마시거나 포도를 수확할 일이 없을 것이다. 벌레들이 다 먹을 것이기 때문이다.

40.  네가 네 땅 전역에 올리브 나무를 심겠으나 너는 그 기름을 쓸 수 없을 것이니 이는 그 올리브 나무에서 열매들이 다 떨어져 버릴 것이기 때문이다.

41.  네게 아들딸들이 있겠지만 네가 그들을 지키지 못할 것이다. 이는 그들이 포로로 끌려갈 것이기 때문이다.

42.  메뚜기 떼가 네 모든 나무들과 네 땅의 수확물들을 빼앗아갈 것이다.

43.  너희 가운데 사는 이방 사람이 일어나 너보다 차차로 높아지겠으나 너는 아래로 아래로 내려갈 것이다.

44.  그 이방 사람은 네게 꾸어 주겠지만 너는 그에게 꾸어 주지 못할 것이며 그는 머리가 되고 너는 꼬리가 될 것이다.

45.  이 모든 저주들이 네게 닥칠 것이다. 그 저주들이 너를 따라가 네가 멸망할 때까지 너를 따라잡을 것이다. 네가 네 하나님 여호와께 순종하지 않았고 그분이 네게 주신 그 명령과 규례를 지키지 않았기 때문이다.

46.  이 모든 저주가 너와 네 자손들에게 영원히 표적이 되고 이적이 될 것이다.

47.  네가 번창하는 때 네 하나님 여호와를 즐겁고 기쁘게 섬기지 않았기에

48.  배고픔과 목마름과 헐벗음과 심각한 가난 가운데 여호와께서 네게 보내시는 그 원수들을 섬기게 될 것이다. 그분이 너를 완전히 멸망시키실 때까지 네 목에 철 멍에를 씌울 것이다.

49.  여호와께서 네게 멀리 땅 끝에서 한 민족을 보내실 것이다. 그 민족은 하늘에 활개 치는 독수리 같고 그 언어는 네가 알지 못할 것이며

50.  그 모습은 험악해 나이 든 사람들을 공격하며 어린아이를 불쌍히 여기는 일이 없다.

51.  그들이 네가 멸망할 때까지 네 가축의 새끼들과 네 땅의 수확물들을 집어삼킬 것이니 그들은 네가 황폐화될 때까지 곡식이나 새 포도주나 기름이나 네 소들 가운데 송아지나 네 양들 가운데 어린 양을 네게 남겨 두지 않을 것이다.

52.  그들은 네가 믿고 있는 그 높은 성벽들이 무너져 내릴 때까지 네 땅 전역의 모든 성들을 포위할 것이다. 그들은 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 그 땅 전역의 모든 성들을 에워쌀 것이다.

53.  네 원수가 포위하는 동안 네가 겪는 그 고통으로 인해 너는 네 몸에서 난 것, 곧 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주신 네 아들딸들의 살을 먹을 것이다.

54.  너희 가운데 가장 순하고 마음이 약한 남자라도 자기 형제나 자기가 사랑하는 아내나 살아남은 자식들을 불쌍히 여기지 않을 것이고

55.  자기가 먹는 자식의 살을 그 어느 누구에게도 주지 않을 것이다. 그것은 네 원수가 네 모든 성들을 포위하는 동안 네게 닥친 고통으로 인해 네게 남은 것이 아무것도 없기 때문이다.

56.  너희 가운데 가장 순하고 마음이 약한 여자라도, 너무 순하고 마음이 약해서 발바닥으로 땅을 밟아 보지도 않은 사람이라도 자기가 사랑하는 남편과 자기 아들딸에게 악한 마음을 품고

57.  자기 다리 사이에서 나온 그녀의 어린 것과 자기에게 생긴 자식들을 몰래 먹으리니 이는 네 대적이 모든 성을 에워싸고 몰아쳐서 허기지게 해 아무 것도 먹을 것이 없게 했기 때문이다.

58.  만약 네가 이 책에 쓰여 있는 이 율법의 모든 말씀을 삼가 따르지 않고 영광스럽고 두려워할 이름, 네 하나님 여호와를 두려워하지 않으면

59.  여호와께서 너와 네 자손들에게 무서운 재앙을 내리실 것이니, 곧 고통스럽게 계속되는 재앙, 극심하게 오래 가는 병마를 주실 것이다.

60.  그분은 네가 두려워했던 이집트의 모든 질병들을 네게 내리실 것이고 그 질병들이 네게 붙을 것이다.

61.  여호와께서는 네가 멸망할 때까지 온갖 종류의 아픔과 이 율법책에 기록돼 있지도 않은 재앙을 네게 내리실 것이다.

62.  하늘의 별처럼 많았던 너희가 적은 수만 남게 될 것이다. 이는 네가 네 하나님 여호와께 순종하지 않았기 때문이다.

63.  여호와께서 너희에게 선을 행하시고 너희가 번창해 수가 늘어나는 것을 기뻐하셨듯이 그분은 너를 황폐화시키고 멸망시키는 것을 기뻐하실 것이다. 너는 네가 들어가 차지할 그 땅에서 뿌리째 뽑힐 것이다.

64.  여호와께서 땅 이쪽 끝에서부터 저쪽 끝까지 모든 민족들 가운데로 너를 흩으실 것이다. 거기서 너는 다른 신들을, 너나 네 조상들이 알지 못했던 나무와 돌로 만든 신들을 숭배할 것이다.

65.  그 민족들 사이에서 너는 네 발바닥의 편안함도, 쉴 곳도 찾지 못할 것이다. 거기서 여호와께서 네게 염려하는 마음을 주시고 눈을 어둡게 하시고 또한 절망만을 주실 것이다.

66.  너는 계속 마음이 조마조마하고 밤낮으로 공포에 시달리며 목숨을 이어갈 수 있을지 항상 불안하기만 할 것이다.

67.  네가 아침에는 ‘저녁이었으면 얼마나 좋을까!’ 하고 저녁에는 ‘아침이었으면 얼마나 좋을까!’ 할 것이다. 네 마음을 가득 채울 그 공포와 네 눈이 보게 될 그 광경 때문이다.

68.  여호와께서는 네가 다시는 가지 않을 것이라고 내가 말했던 그 이집트로 너를 배에 태워 보내실 것이다. 거기서 너는 남종과 여종으로 네 원수들에게 몸을 팔겠지만 아무도 너를 살 사람이 없을 것이다.”

[NIV]제28장

1.  If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.

2.  All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

3.  You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4.  The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock -- the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5.  Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6.  You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7.  The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8.  The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9.  The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways.

10.  Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.

11.  The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity -- in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground -- in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

12.  The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.

13.  The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

14.  Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

15.  However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

16.  You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country.

17.  Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.

18.  The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

19.  You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

20.  The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

21.  The LORD will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess.

22.  The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish.

23.  The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron.

24.  The LORD will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.

25.  The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.

26.  Your carcasses will be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away.

27.  The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured.

28.  The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind.

29.  At midday you will grope about like a blind man in the dark. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you.

30.  You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and ravish her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit.

31.  Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them.

32.  Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand.

33.  A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days.

34.  The sights you see will drive you mad.

35.  The LORD will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.

36.  The LORD will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your fathers. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone.

37.  You will become a thing of horror and an object of scorn and ridicule to all the nations where the LORD will drive you.

38.  You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it.

39.  You will plant vineyards and cultivate them but you will not drink the wine or gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.

40.  You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil, because the olives will drop off.

41.  You will have sons and daughters but you will not keep them, because they will go into captivity.

42.  Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.

43.  The alien who lives among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower.

44.  He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, but you will be the tail.

45.  All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you.

46.  They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever.

47.  Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,

48.  therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

49.  The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand,

50.  a fierce-looking nation without respect for the old or pity for the young.

51.  They will devour the young of your livestock and the crops of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain, new wine or oil, nor any calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks until you are ruined.

52.  They will lay siege to all the cities throughout your land until the high fortified walls in which you trust fall down. They will besiege all the cities throughout the land the LORD your God is giving you.

53.  Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you.

54.  Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you will have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children,

55.  and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities.

56.  The most gentle and sensitive woman among you -- so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot -- will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter

57.  the afterbirth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities.

58.  If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name -- the LORD your God --

59.  the LORD will send fearful plagues on you and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering illnesses.

60.  He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you.

61.  The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.

62.  You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but few in number, because you did not obey the LORD your God.

63.  Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.

64.  Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods -- gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.

65.  Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

66.  You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.

67.  In the morning you will say, "If only it were evening!" and in the evening, "If only it were morning!" -- because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.

68.  The LORD will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

1.  והיה אם שמוע תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר לעשות את כל מצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום ונתנך יהוה אלהיך עליון על כל גויי הארץ׃

2.  ובאו עליך כל הברכות האלה והשיגך כי תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך׃

3.  ברוך אתה בעיר וברוך אתה בשדה׃

4.  ברוך פרי בטנך ופרי אדמתך ופרי בהמתך שגר אלפיך ועשתרות צאנך׃

5.  ברוך טנאך ומשארתך׃

6.  ברוך אתה בבאך וברוך אתה בצאתך׃

7.  יתן יהוה את איביך הקמים עליך נגפים לפניך בדרך אחד יצאו אליך ובשבעה דרכים ינוסו לפניך׃

8.  יצו יהוה אתך את הברכה באסמיך ובכל משלח ידך וברכך בארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך׃

9.  יקימך יהוה לו לעם קדוש כאשר נשבע לך כי תשמר את מצות יהוה אלהיך והלכת בדרכיו׃

10.  וראו כל עמי הארץ כי שם יהוה נקרא עליך ויראו ממך׃

11.  והותרך יהוה לטובה בפרי בטנך ובפרי בהמתך ובפרי אדמתך על האדמה אשר נשבע יהוה לאבתיך לתת לך׃

12.  יפתח יהוה לך את אוצרו הטוב את השמים לתת מטר ארצך בעתו ולברך את כל מעשה ידך והלוית גוים רבים ואתה לא תלוה׃

13.  ונתנך יהוה לראש ולא לזנב והיית רק למעלה ולא תהיה למטה כי תשמע אל מצות יהוה אלהיך אשר אנכי מצוך היום לשמר ולעשות׃

14.  ולא תסור מכל הדברים אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם היום ימין ושמאול ללכת אחרי אלהים אחרים לעבדם׃

15.  והיה אם לא תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר לעשות את כל מצותיו וחקתיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום ובאו עליך כל הקללות האלה והשיגוך׃

16.  ארור אתה בעיר וארור אתה בשדה׃

17.  ארור טנאך ומשארתך׃

18.  ארור פרי בטנך ופרי אדמתך שגר אלפיך ועשתרות צאנך׃

19.  ארור אתה בבאך וארור אתה בצאתך׃

20.  ישלח יהוה בך את המארה את המהומה ואת המגערת בכל משלח ידך אשר תעשה עד השמדך ועד אבדך מהר מפני רע מעלליך אשר עזבתני׃

21.  ידבק יהוה בך את הדבר עד כלתו אתך מעל האדמה אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה׃

22.  יככה יהוה בשחפת ובקדחת ובדלקת ובחרחר ובחרב ובשדפון ובירקון ורדפוך עד אבדך׃

23.  והיו שמיך אשר על ראשך נחשת והארץ אשר תחתיך ברזל׃

24.  יתן יהוה את מטר ארצך אבק ועפר מן השמים ירד עליך עד השמדך׃

25.  יתנך יהוה נגף לפני איביך בדרך אחד תצא אליו ובשבעה דרכים תנוס לפניו והיית לזעוה לכל ממלכות הארץ׃

26.  והיתה נבלתך למאכל לכל עוף השמים ולבהמת הארץ ואין מחריד׃

27.  יככה יהוה בשחין מצרים ובעפלים ובגרב ובחרס אשר לא תוכל להרפא׃

28.  יככה יהוה בשגעון ובעורון ובתמהון לבב׃

29.  והיית ממשש בצהרים כאשר ימשש העור באפלה ולא תצליח את דרכיך והיית אך עשוק וגזול כל הימים ואין מושיע׃

30.  אשה תארש ואיש אחר ישגלנה בית תבנה ולא תשב בו כרם תטע ולא תחללנו׃

31.  שורך טבוח לעיניך ולא תאכל ממנו חמרך גזול מלפניך ולא ישוב לך צאנך נתנות לאיביך ואין לך מושיע׃

32.  בניך ובנתיך נתנים לעם אחר ועיניך ראות וכלות אליהם כל היום ואין לאל ידך׃

33.  פרי אדמתך וכל יגיעך יאכל עם אשר לא ידעת והיית רק עשוק ורצוץ כל הימים׃

34.  והיית משגע ממראה עיניך אשר תראה׃

35.  יככה יהוה בשחין רע על הברכים ועל השקים אשר לא תוכל להרפא מכף רגלך ועד קדקדך׃

36.  יולך יהוה אתך ואת מלכך אשר תקים עליך אל גוי אשר לא ידעת אתה ואבתיך ועבדת שם אלהים אחרים עץ ואבן׃

37.  והיית לשמה למשל ולשנינה בכל העמים אשר ינהגך יהוה שמה׃

38.  זרע רב תוציא השדה ומעט תאסף כי יחסלנו הארבה׃

39.  כרמים תטע ועבדת ויין לא תשתה ולא תאגר כי תאכלנו התלעת׃

40.  זיתים יהיו לך בכל גבולך ושמן לא תסוך כי ישל זיתך׃

41.  בנים ובנות תוליד ולא יהיו לך כי ילכו בשבי׃

42.  כל עצך ופרי אדמתך יירש הצלצל׃

43.  הגר אשר בקרבך יעלה עליך מעלה מעלה ואתה תרד מטה מטה׃

44.  הוא ילוך ואתה לא תלונו הוא יהיה לראש ואתה תהיה לזנב׃

45.  ובאו עליך כל הקללות האלה ורדפוך והשיגוך עד השמדך כי לא שמעת בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר מצותיו וחקתיו אשר צוך׃

46.  והיו בך לאות ולמופת ובזרעך עד עולם׃

47.  תחת אשר לא עבדת את יהוה אלהיך בשמחה ובטוב לבב מרב כל׃

48.  ועבדת את איביך אשר ישלחנו יהוה בך ברעב ובצמא ובעירם ובחסר כל ונתן על ברזל על צוארך עד השמידו אתך׃

49.  ישא יהוה עליך גוי מרחוק מקצה הארץ כאשר ידאה הנשר גוי אשר לא תשמע לשנו׃

50.  גוי עז פנים אשר לא ישא פנים לזקן ונער לא יחן׃

51.  ואכל פרי בהמתך ופרי אדמתך עד השמדך אשר לא ישאיר לך דגן תירוש ויצהר שגר אלפיך ועשתרת צאנך עד האבידו אתך׃

52.  והצר לך בכל שעריך עד רדת חמתיך הגבהות והבצרות אשר אתה בטח בהן בכל ארצך והצר לך בכל שעריך בכל ארצך אשר נתן יהוה אלהיך לך׃

53.  ואכלת פרי בטנך בשר בניך ובנתיך אשר נתן לך יהוה אלהיך במצור ובמצוק אשר יציק לך איבך׃

54.  האיש הרך בך והענג מאד תרע עינו באחיו ובאשת חיקו וביתר בניו אשר יותיר׃

55.  מתת לאחד מהם מבשר בניו אשר יאכל מבלי השאיר לו כל במצור ובמצוק אשר יציק לך איבך בכל שעריך׃

56.  הרכה בך והענגה אשר לא נסתה כף רגלה הצג על הארץ מהתענג ומרך תרע עינה באיש חיקה ובבנה ובבתה׃

57.  ובשליתה היוצת מבין רגליה ובבניה אשר תלד כי תאכלם בחסר כל בסתר במצור ובמצוק אשר יציק לך איבך בשעריך׃

58.  אם לא תשמר לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת הכתובים בספר הזה ליראה את השם הנכבד והנורא הזה את יהוה אלהיך׃

59.  והפלא יהוה את מכתך ואת מכות זרעך מכות גדלות ונאמנות וחלים רעים ונאמנים׃

60.  והשיב בך את כל מדוה מצרים אשר יגרת מפניהם ודבקו בך׃

61.  גם כל חלי וכל מכה אשר לא כתוב בספר התורה הזאת יעלם יהוה עליך עד השמדך׃

62.  ונשארתם במתי מעט תחת אשר הייתם ככוכבי השמים לרב כי לא שמעת בקול יהוה אלהיך׃

63.  והיה כאשר שש יהוה עליכם להיטיב אתכם ולהרבות אתכם כן ישיש יהוה עליכם להאביד אתכם ולהשמיד אתכם ונסחתם מעל האדמה אשר אתה בא שמה לרשתה׃

64.  והפיצך יהוה בכל העמים מקצה הארץ ועד קצה הארץ ועבדת שם אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעת אתה ואבתיך עץ ואבן׃

65.  ובגוים ההם לא תרגיע ולא יהיה מנוח לכף רגלך ונתן יהוה לך שם לב רגז וכליון עינים ודאבון נפש׃

66.  והיו חייך תלאים לך מנגד ופחדת לילה ויומם ולא תאמין בחייך׃

67.  בבקר תאמר מי יתן ערב ובערב תאמר מי יתן בקר מפחד לבבך אשר תפחד וממראה עיניך אשר תראה׃

68.  והשיבך יהוה מצרים באניות בדרך אשר אמרתי לך לא תסיף עוד לראתה והתמכרתם שם לאיביך לעבדים ולשפחות ואין קנה׃
