5 그러나 여러분의 하나님께서는 발람의 말을 들어주지 않으셨습니다. 주께서는 오히려 여러분을 위하여 저주가 아니라 복을 내려 주셨습니다. 주께서 여러분을 사랑하셨기 때문입니다.

6 그러므로 여러분이 살아 있는 한, 그들이 평안하거나 번성하지 않도록 해야 합니다.

7 에돔 사람은 미워하지 마십시오. 그들은 여러분과 한 형제입니다. 이집트 사람들도 미워하지 마십시오. 여러분이 한때는 이집트에서 나그네로 살았던 적이 있었기 때문입니다.

8 여러분과 함께 사는 이집트 사람의 후손은 3대째부터는 거룩한 주의 총회에 참여할 수 있습니다.

9 적과 맞서서 진을 칠 때는 진영을 정결하게 보존해야 합니다.

10 여러분 가운데 밤에 자다가 몽정을 하여 부정하게 된 자가 있으면, 다음 날 종일토록 진영 밖에 나가있어야 합니다.

11 그는 저녁때 목욕을 하고, 해가 진 다음에야 다시 진영으로 들어올 수 있습니다.

12 진영 밖에 일정한 장소를 정해 놓고, 대소변을 볼 때는 그곳을 이용하도록 하십시오.

13 반드시 삽을 들고 가서 구덩이를 파고 일을 본 다음, 삽으로 배설물을 묻어야 합니다.

14 주께서 여러분을 보호해 주시고 여러분의 원수들을 여러분에게 넘겨주시려고 여러분의 진영 안을 거닐고 계시기 때문에, 여러분의 진영은 거룩하게 유지되어야 합니다. 주께서 두루 다니시다가 부정한 것을 보시고 여러분의 진영을 떠나가시는 일이 없도록 해야 할 것입니다.

15 어떤 종이 여러분에게로 도피해 오면, 그를 다시 주인에게로 돌려보내서는 안 됩니다.

16 어느 성읍이든지, 그가 원하는 곳에서 살게 해주고, 그를 학대하는 일이 없어야 합니다.

17 이스라엘의 남자나 여자가 성소의 창녀나 남창이 되어서는 안 됩니다.

18 또 창기나 남창이 번 돈을 하나님의 성전에 갖다 바쳐서도 안 됩니다. 주께서는 그런 자들의 예물을 모두 더럽게 여기십니다.

19 동족인 이스라엘 사람에게는 이자를 받지 마십시오. 돈이나 곡식이나 다른 무엇을 빌려 주었더라도, 이자를 받아서는 안 됩니다.

20 외국인들에게는 이자를 받아도 됩니다. 하지만 동족인 이스라엘 사람들에게 이자를 받아서는 안 됩니다. 그렇게 해야만, 여러분이 이제 들어가 차지할 땅에서 여러분이 하시는 모든 일에 주께서 복을 내려주실 것입니다.

21 여러분이 하나님께 바치겠다고 맹세한 것은 미루지 말고 반드시 실천해야 합니다. 맹세만 하고 바치지 않으면, 여러분에게 죄가 돌아갈 것입니다.

22 아무 맹세도 하지 않았다면, 여러분에게 죄가 돌아갈 일도 없습니다.

23 그러나 일단 입 밖으로 낸 맹세는 반드시 지켜야 합니다. 여러분이 스스로 약속한 대로 이행해야 합니다.

24 만일 배가 고프면, 이웃의 포도원에 들어가 배가 부르도록 실컷 포도를 따먹어도 괜찮습니다. 하지만 포도를 그릇에 담아가지고 가서는 안 됩니다.

25 만일 배가 고프면, 이웃의 곡식밭에 들어가 손으로 이삭을 잘라 먹어도 괜찮습니다. 그러나 낫으로 이웃의 곡식을 베어가서는 안 됩니다.

13.  As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement.

14.  For the LORD your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you.

15.  If a slave has taken refuge with you, do not hand him over to his master.

16.  Let him live among you wherever he likes and in whatever town he chooses. Do not oppress him.

17.  No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute.

18.  You must not bring the earnings of a female prostitute or of a male prostitute into the house of the LORD your God to pay any vow, because the LORD your God detests them both.

19.  Do not charge your brother interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest.

20.  You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a brother Israelite, so that the LORD your God may bless you in everything you put your hand to in the land you are entering to possess.

21.  If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

22.  But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty.

23.  Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth.

24.  If you enter your neighbor's vineyard, you may eat all the grapes you want, but do not put any in your basket.

25.  If you enter your neighbor's grainfield, you may pick kernels with your hands, but you must not put a sickle to his standing grain.
