6월 28일 스펄전 아침묵상 “예수를 바라보자.”[히브리서 12장 2절]

June 28 "Looking unto Jesus" (Hebrews 12: 2). It is the Holy Spirit's work to turn our eyes away from self to Jesus.  Satan's work is just the opposite of this.  He is constantly trying to make us regard ourselves instead of Christ.  Satan implants thoughts about self, and we will never find comfort of assurance by looking within.  But the Holy Spirit turns our eyes entirely away from self.  He tells us that we are nothing, but that "Christ is all in all" (Colossians 3: 11).  Remember, therefore, it is not your hold on Christ that saves you--it is Christ.  It is not even faith in Christ, though that be the instrument--it is Christ's blood and merits.  Therefore, look not so much to your hand with which you are grasping Christ, as to look at Christ Himself.  Look to Jesus, the source of your hope, the author and finisher of your faith.  We will never find happiness by looking at our prayers, our doings, or our feelings.  It is what Jesus is, not what we are, that gives rest to the soul.  If we would at once overcome Satan and have peace with God, it must be by "looking unto Jesus."  Simply keep your eye on Him.  Let His death, His sufferings, His merits, His glories, and His intercession be fresh on your mind.  When you wake in the morning, look to Him.  When you lie down at night, look to Him.  He will never fail you!   6월 28일 제목 : 예수를 바라보자 "예수를 바라보자" (히 12: 2).  우리의 눈을 자아(自我)로부터 예수로 돌리는 것은 성령의 일입니다.  사탄의 일은 이것의 정반대입니다.  그는 우리로 하여금 그리스도 대신 우리 자신을 중시하게 하려고 끊임없이 노력하고 있습니다.  사탄은 자아에 대한 생각을 심으며 우리는 우리의 안을 들여다 봄으로써 확신의 편안함을 결코 찾을 수 없을 것입니다.  그러나 성령은 우리의 눈을 자아로부터 완전히 떠나게 합니다.  그는 우리에게 우리는 아무 것도 아니며 "그리스도는 만유시요 만유 안에 계시니라"(골 3: 11)고 말씀하십니다.  그러므로 그대를 구원하는 것은 그대가 그리스도를 붙잡고 있는 것이 아니라 그리스도임을 기억하십시오.  그대를 구원하는 것은 심지어 그리스도에 대한 믿음도 아닙니다.  비록 그것이 도구가 될 수 있지만 그대를 구원하는 것은 그리스도의 피와 공로입니다.  그러므로 그리스도를 잡고 있는 그대의 손보다는 그리스도 그분을 바라보십시오.  그대의 소망의 원천이며 그대의 믿음을 지으시고 마감하신 예수를 바라보십시오.  우리의 기도나 우리의 행동이나 우리의 느낌을 바라봄으로써 우리는 결코 행복을 찾을 수 없을 것입니다.  영혼에 안식을 주는 것은 예수님의 정체(正體)이지 우리의 정체가 아닙니다.  우리가 사탄을 즉시 이기고 하나님과 화평하고자 한다면 그것은 "예수님을 바라봄"으로써 이루어져야만 합니다.  단지 그분에게서 눈을 떼지 마십시오.  그분의 죽음, 그분의 수난, 그분의 공로, 그분의 영광, 그분의 중재가 그대의 마음에서 새롭게 하십시오.  그대가 아침에 깨어나면 그분을 바라보십시오.  그대가 밤에 자리에 누울 때 그분을 바라보십시오.  그분은 결코 그대를 저버리지 않을 것입니다!
