11월 26일 찰스 스펄전 아침묵상 “무릇 네 손이 일을 당하는 대로 힘을 다하여 할지어다.”[전도서 9장 10절]

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might" (Ecclesiastes 9: 10).

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do refers to works that are possible.  There are many things which our heart finds to do which we will never do.  We must not be content with forming schemes in our heart and talking about them.  We must carry out "whatsoever our hand findeth to do."  One good deed is worth more than a thousand brilliant theories.  Let us not wait for large opportunities but do just the things we "find to do" day by day.  We have no other time in which to live.  The past is gone, and the future has not arrived.  We never have nay time but the present.  Then do not wait until your experience has ripened into maturity before you attempt to serve God.  Endeavor now to bring forth fruit.  Do it promptly.  Do not fritter away your life in thinking of what you intend to do tomorrow.  No man ever served God by doing things tomorrow.  We honor Christ by the things we do today.  Whatever you do for Christ, do it with heart, soul, and strength.  Where is the might of a Christian?  It is not in himself, for he is perfect weakness.  His might lies in the Lord of Hosts.  Then let us seek His help.  Let us proceed with prayer and faith.  When we have done what our "hand findeth to do," let us wait on the Lord for His blessing.

제목 : 일을 당하는 대로

요절 : "무릇 네 손이 일을 당하는 대로 힘을 다하여 할지어다. 네가 장차 들어갈 음부에는 일도 없고 계획도 없고 지식도 없고 지혜도 없음 이니라"(전9:10)

무릇 네 손이 일을 당하는 대로(Whatsoever they hand findeth to do)"라는 말은 가능한(Possible)에 관련된(적용되는) 말입니다. 우리 마음은 우리가 결코 할 수 없는 일을  많이 하려고 생각합니다. 우리는 우리 마음 속에서 계획들을 구상하고 그것들을 입으로 말하는 것만으로 만족해서는 안됩니다. 우리는 "무릇 우리의 손이 일을 당하는 대로"실행해야 합니다. 한 가지 선행(善行)이 천 가지의 찬란한 이론보다 더 가치가 있습니다. 따라서 어떤 큰 기회를 기다리지 말고 매일매일 우리가 당하는 일들을 바로 합시다 우리는 또 다시 살 다른 시간이 없습니다. 과거는 가 버렸고, 미래는 아직 오지 않았습니다. 우리는 현재 이외는 어떤 시간도 갖고 있지 않습니다. 그러므로 제발 하나님을 섬기는 일을 실행하기에 앞서 그대의 경험이 성숙할 때까지를 기다리지 마십시오.(즉 그대의 경험이 미숙하드라도 그때그때 당하는 대로 하나님을 섬기십시오.)

지금 열매를 맺도록 노력하십시오. 그것을 즉시(빨리)하십시오. 그대가 내일하려고 생각하면서 미루다가 그대의 인생을 낭비하지 마십시오. 이 세상에 누구도 내일의 일을 함으로서 하나님을 섬긴적이 없습니다. 우리는 오늘하는 일에 의하여 그리스도를 영화롭게 합니다. 그대가 그리스도를 위하여 하는 일은 무엇이나, 마음과 혼과 힘을 다하여 그것을 행하십시오.(역자주1)  그리스도의 능력(힘)은 어디에 있습니까? 그것은 그리스도인의 자신 안에 있지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 그는 전적으로 연약한 존재이기 때문입니다. 그의 능력은 오직 만군의 주이신 여호와 안에 있습니다. 그렇다면 그의 도움을 구합시다. 기도와 믿음으로 여호와께 나아갑시다. 그리고 "우리의 손이 일을 당하는 대로"한 후에는 주님의 축복을 기다립시다.
